    Caring staff and excellent rehabilitation

I'm very pleased with this facility - the staff are caring and attentive, nurses and CNAs communicate well, and the therapists helped my family member regain mobility and reduce pain. The food is good, activities are engaging, the grounds and rooms are spotless, and administration is responsive, which put my mind at ease. It's close to home, residents seem happy and treated like family, and I highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

The body of reviews for this facility is strongly mixed, with clear patterns of both consistent strengths and recurring operational weaknesses. Rehabilitation services and therapy staff receive frequent, specific praise: therapists are described as knowledgeable, motivating, and effective at improving mobility and pain for many residents. Several reviewers credited therapy and rehab staff with measurable progress and a high level of professionalism. Admissions, social work, and some administrative staff also garnered positive comments for being helpful, communicative, and family-oriented.

Clinical care perceptions are more variable. Many families described attentive nursing care during daytime and weekday hours, but multiple accounts point to inconsistent coverage in the evenings and on weekends. Reviewers described delays in medication delivery and timing inconsistencies; one review referenced a serious medication event and another referenced a transfer to emergency care after a fall-related episode โ€” these are serious allegations that warrant verification through the facilityโ€™s incident records and regulatory history. There are also recurring concerns about delayed or unclear clinical communication and discharge coordination between staff and families.

Staffing and responsiveness emerge as central operational issues. Reviews indicate patterns of slow response to call lights, extended waits for assistance, and limitations in in-room monitoring (including unplugged or nonfunctional call systems). These issues are associated with increased perceived safety risk, including fall risk and difficulties with timely toileting and repositioning. Families noted better weekday performance and more strained coverage on weekends and evenings.

Dining and activity programming present a mixed picture. Activity offerings (bingo, religious services, movie days) and a generally engaging resident environment were highlighted as positives. The food and kitchen staff also received favorable comments from many residents. However, there are consistent concerns about mealtime assistance continuity and feeding practices for residents who need help, as well as occasional issues with bed-tray service and positioning during meals.

Facility condition and housekeeping show a split in experiences. Numerous reviewers praised cleanliness, well-kept grounds, and an odor-free environment; housekeeping staff received positive mentions for their attentiveness. Conversely, a number of reviews identified sanitation concerns such as inconsistent bathing schedules, laundry and linen change irregularities, and bathrooms in need of better upkeep. The building is also described as older with smaller rooms and some visible wear, which may affect expectations for room size and modern amenities.

Management and staff conduct are similarly mixed. Several families praised specific administrators and caseworkers for being proactive and communicative. At the same time, there are accounts of staff tone and conduct that families found dismissive or unprofessional; these concerns relate to interpersonal communication rather than clinical technique but are meaningful for family trust. A few reviewers referenced security or incident-oversight problems that should be explored further.

For prospective residents and families: consider visiting at different times of day (weekday mornings and weekend evenings) to evaluate staffing and responsiveness, ask for current staffing ratios and weekend coverage plans, request documentation on medication-safety protocols and incident histories, inspect call-system monitoring and in-room alarm functionality, and inquire about laundry, bathing, and mealtime assistance workflows. The facility shows clear strengths in rehabilitation and in some aspects of housekeeping and administration, but the recurring patterns around staffing, responsiveness, medication timing, hygiene processes, and infrastructure deserve direct inquiry prior to placement.
