    Mother thriving in family-run home

My mother has truly thrived here - the ranch-style home is immaculate, peaceful, and well-kept with bright private rooms, home-style meals, a fenced yard, and daily activities. Mary, Daniel and their attentive, loving staff gave personalized, compassionate care and consistent communication that eased our family through a difficult time. I'm very pleased and would recommend this warm, family-run facility.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment: The reviews for Tender Personal Care Home #2 are overwhelmingly positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing compassionate, personalized care and a homelike environment. Praise is concentrated on the staff’s demeanor and approach — reviewers consistently describe staff as caring, accommodating, friendly, amazing, and willing to go above and beyond. Several comments express strong emotional gratitude (including one calling the home an “answered prayer”), indicating that the facility met or exceeded expectations during difficult family circumstances.

Care quality and family support: The most prominent theme is high-quality personal care. Reviewers note that staff provided tender, individualized attention and specifically mention that a resident (one reviewer’s mother) was well cared for. Beyond routine care, staff support extended to helping family members through grieving, suggesting an emphasis on emotional as well as physical support. The repeated language around staff going “above and beyond” implies responsiveness, extra assistance when needed, and a family-centered approach to care.

Facilities and cleanliness: Multiple summaries describe the home itself as beautiful, gorgeous, and in a pleasant location, and at least one reviewer explicitly calls out that the facility is clean. The descriptions paint a picture of an attractive, well-maintained residence that contributes to the homelike atmosphere praised by families. The proximity to families’ homes is also noted positively (close-to-home care), which can be important for visitation and family involvement.

Cost and affordability: The primary and recurring concern across the summaries is cost. At least one reviewer explicitly states that cost is a barrier and points out that an alternative (Home #1) is a more affordable option. This indicates that while care and environment are highly rated, pricing may limit accessibility for some families and could be a decisive factor when comparing options.

Gaps and areas not addressed: The review summaries do not provide specific information about dining, activities, clinical/medical services, medication management, staff-to-resident ratios, licensing/inspections, or management/administrative responsiveness beyond the frontline staff. There is strong anecdotal evidence of compassionate caregiving and a clean, attractive facility, but limited data on programming (activities), meals, medical oversight, or long-term operational consistency. Prospective families seeking details in those areas should request additional information or tour the home to verify those aspects.

Overall conclusion: Tender Personal Care Home #2 is portrayed as a small, attractive personal care home with an outstanding, compassionate staff and a strong emphasis on making residents and families feel at home. Cleanliness and a pleasing environment are consistent positives. The main drawback cited is affordability compared with at least one local alternative. If budget is a concern, families may need to weigh the facility’s high-rated care and environment against cost or consider more affordable options; if budget allows, the reviews suggest this home offers a high level of attentive, emotionally supportive personal care.

About Tender Personal Care Home #2

Tender Personal Care Home #2 sits in a quiet spot with a lovely lake view and a peaceful atmosphere that gives people a sense of being at home, and for over twelve years, this family-owned and operated community, run by a mother and son, has offered residential care and memory care for up to ten residents in a single-story, wheelchair accessible building with European style and comfortable furnishings, and you'll see an open backyard with a paved walkway, a fenced two-acre property, and a large backyard deck that looks out over the water. This Georgia-licensed facility takes both men and women and can help those who need stand-by or transfer assistance, including people who use lifts, walk in tubs, or need reminders for using the restroom, and the staff knows how to handle incontinence care and residents with diabetes, since they can monitor blood sugar and help with insulin or other medicine injections, and they're glad to welcome people who have memory issues, Alzheimer's, major behavior problems, or who sometimes wander, and they use a special wander alert bracelet and a computerized alarm system for safety. Residents get three healthy, home-cooked meals served in a family-style dining room each day along with snacks, and there's always someone around to help, since staff and nurses are available 24/7, and there's a doctor on call, plus visiting specialists for feet, speech, and therapy needs, which really helps when health needs pop up at unexpected times. The place features private bedrooms with their own baths, including wheelchair showers and full tubs, and both indoor and outdoor common areas for relaxing, group activities, or devotional services if someone wants to attend. For seniors who need memory care, there's a separate memory care section in its own building, and caregivers follow personalized plans for Alzheimer's and dementia, so each resident gets just the right help, and the community is good at helping people with big behavior changes, confusion, or the urge to walk off, keeping everyone safe with alarms and a fenced yard. The home is close to Gwinnett Medical Center Hospital and a fire station, and for people who don't drive, the community provides transportation for errands, shopping, and appointments, plus there's resident parking for those who still have cars. Tender Personal Care Home #2 allows pets and aims to help everyone stay social, with scheduled activities that encourage friendships and keep minds busy, including special programs for folks with memory trouble, and staff keeps the building clean, helps with laundry, handles grooming and hygiene, and makes sure everyone has what they need for daily living, but also supports independence as much as possible. They allow smoking only outside, and both hospice and respite care are available for those who need extra support for a short or long while, so most any need is met with a practical, caring approach, and visitors often comment on how residents are treated like family and made to feel comfortable and respected in what really feels like a safe, elegant, and down-to-earth home.
