    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Copper Summit Assisted Living is frequently described as a small, home-like assisted living option with a strong emphasis on personalized attention. Many reviewers highlight compassionate, friendly staff and accessible, responsive administration. The facility's physical setting—large windows, scenic views, wrap-around deck and an open-concept dining area—receives consistent praise, as do home-cooked meals and a robust activity schedule that includes crafts, games, outings and occasional pet visits.

Care and staff The prevailing pattern is positive with regard to daily caregiving: reviewers repeatedly describe attentive, personable staff and leadership that emphasizes resident-centered care. Several reviewers singled out on-site administrators for effective, compassionate management. That said, a few reviewers raised serious concerns, including allegations of theft and examples of staff unavailability; these comments suggest potential weaknesses in staffing consistency, responsiveness, and property-security practices that prospective families should investigate directly.

Dining and activities Dining is a clear strength: meals prepared from scratch, an open kitchen/dining concept, and a large, bright dining room are noted favorably. Social programming appears active and varied, with recurring holiday and birthday celebrations, crafts, games, outings, and special events that contribute to a family-like atmosphere and resident engagement.

Facilities and maintenance Many families describe bright, spacious rooms and well-maintained common areas. However, there is a countervailing pattern of maintenance and aesthetic inconsistency: some rooms and corridors are described as needing updates (chipped paint, worn carpeting, darker wall colors) and a few residents/families noted shared bathing arrangements rather than private baths. The facility layout, particularly the entrance/dining flow, has been called awkward by some visitors. These observations suggest variable upkeep between units or shifts and differences in room types and finishes.

Management, suitability, and notable patterns Leadership is often described as a strength, with multiple mentions of engaged administrators and a supportive, family-oriented staff culture. The facility has recognition for compliance and maintenance in some accounts. Conversely, concerns about staffing levels, security of personal property, and limited memory-care services indicate areas where operational clarity is important. Cost was noted as a barrier by at least one reviewer.

Recommendations for prospective families Visitors should arrange an in-person tour, observe staffing levels at different times of day, and ask specific questions about: dementia/memory-care capabilities and secure unit features; policies and controls for resident property; private versus shared bathing options; routine maintenance schedules; and detailed pricing and included services. Doing so will help reconcile generally positive reports about staff engagement and dining with the intermittent concerns about maintenance, security, and staffing consistency.

    About Copper Summit Assisted Living

Copper Summit Assisted Living sits at 2424 Birdie Thompson Dr. in Pocatello, Idaho, and provides a safe spot for seniors who need different types of support, so you'll find people there getting help with assisted living, memory care, nursing care, and independent living, and you'll notice that folks can also use extra services like adult day care and respite care, which gives short-term help to caregivers or helps after surgery or injury if someone needs a little time to recover. The staff at Copper Summit focus on meeting each person's needs and take pride in giving individual attention, so residents get help with basics like bathing, dressing, medications, and meals-there's always assistance with daily activities like walking, moving around, or even just getting to and from the dining room, and licensed nurses are around all day and night for whatever's needed. The facility is run by TanaBell Health Services Inc., and you'll see that they set up a lot of ways for people to stay active with things like arts and crafts, bingo, movie nights, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, and there's a barber and salon right on site as well as places to walk outside, garden, and visit with others because social spaces are built in both indoors and out. Residents can choose from plenty of meal options-even those who need low or no sodium, no sugar, or gluten-free foods-and restaurant-style dining is available, so guests can join for meals if they want to, and there are comfortable accommodations in ground floor units that come with baths, cable or satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning to keep things easy and homey. Copper Summit tries to help people keep their independence and dignity, so there are options to match everyone's level of need, from those who want to continue living on their own to those needing more care-memory care is provided for those who need help with dementia, and there's incontinence care, diabetic support, and high acuity care, too, and always a 24-hour call system for safety and fast response. People can enjoy being part of a small, friendly community and take part in structured recreation, educational events, or just relax and watch a movie or sit in the gardens. Copper Summit offers transportation and parking so folks can get out and about, and helps coordinate with health care providers nearby for extra support, and their average review rating is 4.0 out of 5, based on two reviews, though specific pricing hasn't been published. The facility's main goal is to give seniors a cozy, well-cared-for setting with lots of support, where everyone can live as healthy, active, and comfortable a life as possible.
