    Warm professional care like family

I placed my mom here and felt very pleased with the care - staff from the front desk to CNAs, nurses and the incredible PT/OT team were warm, professional and went above and beyond. The Bounce Back rehab and Memory Care teams helped her recover and feel at home, administrators were supportive, meals/activities and housekeeping were excellent, and I always felt she was safe and welcomed like family. Clean, comfortable facility with COVID precautions in place - I would recommend it for longer-term care.

    Summary of reviews

Liberty Village of Maryville presents a mixed picture: several families praise the facility’s rehabilitation services, specific nursing staff, and an active social environment, while others describe operational inconsistencies that affect long‑term care quality. The facility’s PT/OT and Bounce Back rehabilitation offerings receive consistent positive feedback; reviewers note skilled therapists, daily therapy access, and measurable mobility improvements. Many accounts also highlight individual staff members and CNAs who provide compassionate, individualized care and meaningful family communication.

Care quality appears variable. Positive reports describe attentive nurses and CNAs, timely therapy, and supportive administrators who helped residents settle and remain comfortable. Conversely, recurring concerns center on slow response times to resident requests (some reviewers cited call‑bell waits of 15–30 minutes), inconsistent bathing and feeding support, and delays in medication administration tied to internal coordination or pharmacy turnaround. There are also descriptions of delayed recognition or escalation of medical issues in some cases; reviewers linked these delays to hospital readmissions or infection‑related complications. These patterns suggest reliable outcomes for short‑term, therapy‑focused stays but uneven performance for residents requiring sustained, medically complex nursing care.

Staffing and conduct are a frequent theme. Several families commend named individuals and the warmth of many caregivers, while others report variability in staff tone, customer service, and follow‑through. Weekend and after‑hours coverage is repeatedly identified as less consistent than weekday staffing. Operationally, this translates into periods when response and coordination lag, leading some families to arrange supplemental private caregiving.

Dining, activities, and facilities show a mix of strengths and complaints. The facility is described as spacious, well‑appointed, and in many cases clean, with a good variety of activities and an active memory‑care program. Meal variety and alternatives are appreciated by several families. At the same time, reviewers described inconsistent meal temperatures, timing issues, and instances where feeding assistance was missed, contributing to weight or intake concerns for some residents. Housekeeping and sanitation receive both positive and negative comments: while some families find the environment well cared for, others raised sanitation and pest‑control concerns and occasional plumbing or hot‑water disruptions.

Management and operational patterns are uneven. Multiple reviewers praised administrators who were responsive and present; others described difficulties with admissions coordination, medication handoffs, pharmacy delays, and a perceived emphasis on throughput by some social‑services staff. There are also serious individual claims—including missing personal items and lapses in documentation of incidents—that indicate gaps in property controls and recordkeeping; these are best considered as items to verify during a tour or reference check.

Notable patterns for prospective residents and families: the facility tends to excel in short‑term rehabilitation and therapy-driven recovery, and many staff members provide high‑quality, compassionate care. However, families should be aware of variability in long‑term nursing responsiveness, weekend coverage, medication/pharmacy processes, and sanitation controls. A prudent approach is to tour during both weekday and weekend hours, ask about staffing ratios and after‑hours coverage, inquire about medication‑administration and pharmacy turnaround procedures, and seek references from current long‑term residents’ families to assess consistency over time.
