    Knowledgeable staff, comfortable clean facility

I'm very pleased with our choice. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and go above and beyond - care coordination and memory care have been excellent. The bright, clean, brand-new facility feels like home, apartments are comfortable and accessible, and there are lots of activities (pool, exercise, arts & crafts, movies, outings) plus varied meals. Communication with family has been good and residents are well cared for; I would recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

Edencrest at Siena Hills presents as a recently built, well-appointed senior living community with many features families value: modern apartments with accessible bathrooms and in-unit conveniences, attractive common spaces, responsive maintenance, and a broad activities program that includes exercise classes, arts and crafts, games, outings and seasonal events. Reviewers frequently described staff as warm, caring and personally attentive; several highlighted a hands-on health care coordinator, competent nursing support, transportation services, and family-friendly communication tools such as camera/video options.

Care quality is a mixed picture. Numerous families praised direct caregivers and the facility’s responsiveness in many situations, noting individualized attention and supportive transitions for residents with memory needs. At the same time, a recurring operational concern is inconsistent staffing and high turnover—particularly during evenings and weekends—which reviewers linked to slower response times, meal-service interruptions, and limitations in housekeeping and engagement. Some reviewers described care coordination strengths (medication management, intake assistance), while others cited lapses in responsiveness and medication/clinical oversight.

Dining and activities are generally strengths in the assisted-living areas: reviewers cited varied menus, a café option, enthusiastic activity staff, and well-used amenities such as pools, libraries and games. Meal quality and consistency appear variable; several comments connect dips in meal service and variety to staffing shortages. Memory-care programming is present and valued, but reviewers pointed to fewer structured activities and engagement opportunities for residents in the dedicated memory unit compared with the broader community.

Operational and management patterns are uneven. Positive notes include accommodating leadership, resolved billing issues in some cases, and staff who go beyond expectations. However, reviewers also raised concerns about administrative disorganization, billing/accounting errors, leadership turnover, and uneven communication about changes in care level. Serious individual-level safety concerns were raised as well—including allegations regarding resident-handling and restraint practices—and should prompt careful inquiry by prospective families. Other facility-level patterns include incontinence-care practice concerns, occasional odor or apartment housekeeping inconsistencies, and perceptions of high cost relative to perceived value.

Recommendations for prospective residents and families: during a visit, ask specifically about current staffing ratios (including evenings and weekends), weekend nursing and clinical coverage, memory-care staffing model, policies on restraints and incontinence care, incident reporting and follow-up procedures, and recent turnover among leadership and direct-care staff. Confirm billing and admissions processes, request recent activity calendars for both assisted living and memory care, and, if safety is a priority, inquire about camera policies and family-accessible monitoring. Overall, the facility offers many desirable amenities and caring staff, but operational variability—especially around staffing and management continuity—warrants careful, situation-specific inquiry prior to placement.
