    About Denver Sunset Home

Denver Sunset Home, Inc. was established in 1964, welcoming its first residents in February 1965. As a community-based, non-profit corporation, the home operates under the guidance of a nine-member volunteer Board of Directors. Its founding vision centers on providing high quality healthcare to the elderly population of the surrounding area, with a special emphasis on serving those from Denver, Readlyn, and the immediate rural communities nearby. Over the decades, Denver Sunset Home has maintained a steadfast dedication to promoting the health, safety, and general well-being of its residents, staff, and the broader community.

The home is designed to accommodate up to 31 residents, offering both Nursing Facility (NF) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) levels of care. This dual licensure allows Denver Sunset Home to serve individuals with varying needs, whether those involve long-term nursing care or more intensive skilled nursing services. The ethos that guides the daily operations focuses on upholding each resident’s dignity, recognizing their unique physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. Every effort is made to ensure that these needs and associated rights are respected and protected, establishing an environment of trust and compassion.

Staff members at Denver Sunset Home are chosen for their qualifications, dedication, and ability to provide exceptional care to elderly residents. There is a strong belief in the importance of moral character and a commitment to the home’s mission among all personnel. The Board of Directors, administration, and staff collectively commit themselves to fostering an atmosphere in which residents receive attentive and respectful care at all times. Their shared philosophy ensures that the Sunset Home is not just a place of residence, but a supportive community where every individual can enjoy a sense of safety, belonging, and respect.
