    Beautiful, clean facility; caring staff

I'm very pleased with this beautiful, super-clean facility that feels like a second home. The staff and nurses - Ashley and Brooke included - are friendly, compassionate, and go out of their way to help. Mom's PT/OT rehab had her up and going in six days, and there are plenty of activities that enrich residents' lives. Overall a warm, well-run place with caring, supportive staff.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a strongly mixed picture. Many comments praise the Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility for its physical environment, communal atmosphere, and rehabilitative services: reviewers consistently describe a clean, well-kept building with pleasant common areas, a welcoming atmosphere, engaging activities, and a robust PT/OT program that produced rapid short-term rehabilitation for some residents. Numerous accounts highlight compassionate nurses, attentive CNAs, and staff members who treat the facility as a second home for residents.

Counterbalancing those positives are repeated operational concerns that point to variability in daily care. Reviewers raised issues with medication timing and administration, as well as delays in attending to resident needs (including call-bell response times and assistance with mealtimes). A pattern of inconsistent care quality across shifts and individual staff members emerged; while some staff were described as dedicated and kind, others were characterized as hurried, unprofessional, or less responsive. A few reviewers described clinical outcomes and pressure-injury concerns that suggest gaps in preventive care and monitoring.

Staffing and workforce pressures are a recurrent theme. Several accounts describe high workload, perceived understaffing, and overextended employees—conditions that reviewers linked to slower response times and variability in the resident experience. Related concerns included infection-control disruptions that affected operations and visitation, and uneven interpersonal conduct by frontline personnel. At the same time, some reviewers singled out specific nurses and aides for strong, compassionate performance, indicating that the facility has capable staff but inconsistent coverage.

Administrative and communication issues also appear frequently. Families reported difficulty obtaining clear, timely information about tests and results, delayed follow-up after acute events, and problems with billing or front-office responsiveness. These issues—billing discrepancies, communication delays, and perceived lack of transparency—were a significant source of frustration distinct from clinical care. Dining feedback was mixed: some reviewers found portions or variety insufficient, while others did not raise concerns about meal quality. Activities and social programming were more consistently viewed positively.

In summary, Terrace offers notable strengths in facility presentation, rehabilitation services, and for many residents, compassionate direct-care staff and engaging activities. However, prospective residents and families should be aware of variability in daily care and administrative processes. Recommended pre-admission inquiries include current staffing levels and how they vary by shift, medication-administration protocols, pressure-injury prevention practices, family communication procedures (including how test results and clinical changes are relayed), visitation policies during infection-control events, and a review of billing procedures. Observing multiple shifts and speaking directly with nursing leadership can help assess whether the facility’s strengths align with a prospective resident’s needs.
