    Summary of reviews

Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center elicits strongly mixed impressions. Many families and visitors emphasize the facilityโ€™s strengths: numerous staff members โ€” including nurses, CNAs, and aides โ€” are described as compassionate, attentive, and relationship-oriented, creating a home-like environment for residents. The activities program is a clear institutional strength; reviewers frequently note well-planned events, community involvement, volunteer participation, and an energetic activities director (named specifically by multiple sources) who generates resident engagement and positive morale.

Clinical care descriptions are variable. Positive accounts highlight competent medication administration, knowledgeable on-site rehab staff, and 24-hour nursing availability. Conversely, other families described rapid clinical declines, gaps in monitoring (for example, blood-sugar and lab-tolerance concerns), and instances where therapy was delayed or not provided. These contrasting accounts suggest inconsistent clinical oversight and uneven therapy outcomes across different stays or shifts.

Operational and safety concerns appear repeatedly. Several narratives point to delays in family notification after incidents, shortcomings in fall-prevention practices, and organizational inconsistencies that affect responsiveness. Staffing shortages and uneven staff performance are indicated by reports of uncoordinated care and variable attention to residentsโ€™ needs. These patterns imply opportunities for stronger protocol adherence around transfers, fall risk mitigation, and staff handoffs.

Facility environment and dining receive mixed feedback. Many reviewers praised the dining and special-event experiences and described the facility as comfortable and welcoming. At the same time, there are sanitation and odor concerns in particular areas and references to shared rooms and crowding that may limit privacy. A number of reviewers also raised concerns about supplies and housekeeping consistency, suggesting variability in environmental maintenance.

Management and communication are polarized in the reviews. Some families feel well-informed and trust the leadership, citing quick problem resolution and ongoing quality improvements. Others describe poor communication, episodes of unprofessional staff conduct, administrative followโ€‘up issues (including billing and discharge coordination), and inconsistent infection-control notification. These contrasts point to uneven leadership visibility and variable communication practices with families.

Overall, Stanton offers notable strengths in staff-resident relationships, activities, and some rehabilitative services, which can provide a positive experience for many residents. At the same time, recurring themes โ€” inconsistent clinical monitoring and therapy delivery, gaps in incident notification and family communication, sanitation and privacy limitations, and organizational variability โ€” are significant considerations for prospective residents and families. When evaluating Stanton, families should verify current staffing levels, incident-notification protocols, therapy plans and measurable rehab goals, room accommodations, and documented procedures for clinical monitoring and fall prevention.

About Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provides skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and specialized care like memory care, wound care, and respiratory or trach care, and you'll find therapy services like physical, occupational, and speech therapy offered on site, which are all supervised by well-trained staff and licensed nurses around the clock, so residents get help with daily tasks and medication, and they do keep close watch on infection control even though there have been past issues with infection control and reporting, which they seem to be working on with regular staff training and safety standards; the center's known in the area for several years because of its good reputation and long history, and both managerial and ownership roles include people like Benjamin Landa, Goldie Platschek, Alexander Platschek, David Rubenstein, Michael Fielden, Moshe Kelman, and Thomas Tackett, so there's always a team looking after how things run day to day, and you'll see residents have access to long-term or short-term care options, respite stays, palliative support, continence help, activities, and amenities like housekeeping, laundry, and scheduled rides, plus opportunities for social connection, so care plans get tailored to what each resident needs, and professional staff handle therapy and rehab, with care focused on making life as comfortable as possible; Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center also opens its doors for community members who want virtual tours or to browse their photo gallery and explore activities, but families should be aware of both the center's strengths and some reported problems, especially around infection control and how they handle reporting and planning, which are part of their ongoing efforts to improve and maintain resident safety and quality of life.
