Greenbriar Community Care Center stands at 505 Robert Blvd in Slidell, LA, and has six households with private rooms, private bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas, and even a couples room for those who want to be together. Residents find outdoor space on a front porch for each household, and the design supports a person-centered care philosophy, so folks can make their own choices and keep as much independence as they can. People here get specialized care-nursing services, long-term care, rehabilitation, palliative care, respite care, and memory care for residents with Alzheimer's or other cognitive concerns. A trained care team, including an Administrator, Director of Nursing, Marketing Director, Admissions Coordinator, and Activities Director, works around the clock to help each person live with dignity and respect.
Residents use amenities like a fully equipped gym for rehabilitation, salon services, fitness centers, libraries, and two cafes-Jasmine Café and Magnolia Café-where residents and their guests enjoy coffee, soft drinks, and soft serve ice cream at their own pace. The center offers engaging activities and social events, often open to family, volunteers, and folks from the community, to help everyone stay part of a group and feel a bit less alone. People can receive physical, occupational, and speech therapy to help them regain strength and, when possible, to prepare for returning home. Everything, from therapies to meals and daily activities, aims to support comfort, choice, and the best possible quality of life.
The staff speaks English, and the center's programs focus on care, comfort, and engagement. Right now, Greenbriar Community Care Center isn't accepting new patients, but they will share when a space becomes available if you call and ask.
