South China House is a residential treatment center for adults that offers care for seniors aged 65 and older, young adults, and people dealing with PTSD, serious mental illness, and those with both mental health and substance abuse disorders. The community has adult care services, court-referred programs, and specialized support for clients with co-occurring needs, so you'll find help that covers a wide range of needs. South China House offers crisis intervention, vocational rehab, supported housing and employment, and programs to help people with life skills and social engagement. Residents have 24-hour supervision, and staff help with bathing, dressing, incontinence, transfers, and medication management, plus wellness programs and medical care.
The center includes services for low-mobility residents, help with activities of daily living, and support for those with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory care needs. There's help for court-ordered treatment, trauma therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, with staff available at all hours, including an on-call nurse day and night. Residents live in single bedrooms, shared spaces, or studios, all with safety features, private laundry, and access to computers and large screen TVs. There are gardens, a walking path, a greenhouse, and outdoor relaxation spots, with scheduled activities like movie nights, arts and crafts, fitness, chapel, and games.
Everyone gets three meals a day in a community dining room, with special diets for diabetes and other needs, and there's a private dining section and on-site dietitian. Amenities like beauty and barber shops, a theatre room, snacks, family support groups, and a communal kitchen are available, and the center provides help with moving in, meal preparation, and transportation for medical appointments. Residents get housekeeping, laundry, and regular health screenings, with 24/7 security and emergency response. The home is designed to keep everyone safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible, with support and supervision every day. South China House has a capacity for three residents. Smoking is allowed in designated areas.
