    About Homestead Hall

Homestead Hall sits at the quiet end of 10 Homestead Avenue in Worcester, MA, where big shade trees and cared-for gardens surround the building, and you'll see it's been part of Worcester for over 100 years in a restored historic house that holds a friendly feeling inside, offering both independent and assisted living as a non-profit place where people can settle in and feel looked after. There are 36 apartments meant for supportive independent living and 32 private rooms in the licensed Level IV Rest Home, each with a half bath you can decorate with your own things from home, and for couples, there's an option of two rooms with a shared bathroom, which gives some real comfort if people want to stay together. Staff provide twenty-four hour care, helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication, and there's professional oversight from nurses and physicians plus clinical support well beyond the basics you might expect in most places.

People who live here get help with daily living, medication management, and regular health screenings, but can also choose their own routine, with choices in meals, activities, and how they spend their days. Every day, the kitchen serves three restaurant-style meals in a formal dining room with seasonal menus adjusted for dietary needs, allergies, and what people like to eat. Rooms are cleaned every day, with laundry and linen services taken care of as well, and staff handle regular upkeep of the building, including snow removal and grounds maintenance, so there's nothing extra for residents to worry about in that department.

There are a lot of programs at Homestead Hall, like My Adult Behavior, My Senior Care Hub, My Adult Home Care, and My Adult Foster Care, plus My Adult Home Care products that cover various needs. The facility supports assisted living, independent living, rest home care, respite care, palliative care, memory care including Alzheimer's, and skilled nursing, offering a wide range of support. Residents get van service to doctor's appointments, shopping, and community outings, and there's daily help for activities like exercise classes, arts and crafts, hobby groups, and group trips to concerts, plays, or local attractions, alongside social gatherings and entertainment options like cable TV in the indoor community areas.

There's an on-site salon for hair care, regular visits from a podiatrist, and special efforts to keep people active, connected, and included through family engagement and structured activities. The place uses electronic visit verification, offers tele-health remote monitoring, and manages care with up-to-date records. Residents here can relax in outdoor community spaces, often described as beautiful grounds with lots of flowers and mature trees for shade, and rest easy knowing clinical staff are always available for emergencies or special needs, with the ability to coordinate with outside doctors or hospitals if needed.

Homestead Hall doesn't take Medicare unless certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, but aims to help families worried about their loved ones' well-being, offering a cozy size and comforting ambiance, attentive staff, and leadership that really tries to meet the changing needs of older adults. The building has cheerfully furnished common rooms-both for relaxing and dining-where people can sit together, enjoy a meal or some company, or take part in a game or group event. Residents appreciate that they can bring their own furniture and treasures to make their space feel just right. Homestead Hall combines the feeling of home with needed help and social connection, supporting older adults' independence while making sure help's ready at all hours for daily or medical needs.
