    Warm attentive staff, clean homelike

I'm very pleased with Auburn Fields - the staff (especially Desiree) are warm, attentive, and treat residents like family. The facility is exceptionally clean and home-like, rooms are spacious, meals are homemade and delicious, and daily activities and therapy keep my mom engaged and healthier. Routine check-ins, responsive management, and genuine compassion give our family great confidence; I highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment: Reviews for Auburn Fields Assisted Living and Memory Care are overwhelmingly positive. Multiple reviewers emphasize consistently excellent care, a warm and supportive atmosphere, and staff who routinely go the extra mile. The dominant themes are compassion, professionalism, and reliability; residents and family members repeatedly describe staff as caring, empathetic, and attentive, with several calls-out to the leadership of Desiree and other administrators for being hands-on and responsive. Many reviewers explicitly say their family members are happy, safe, and thriving under the facility’s care, and numerous reviewers strongly recommend Auburn Fields to others.

Care quality and staff: The strongest and most repeated praise concerns the quality of caregiving. Reviewers describe staff as highly trained, loving, patient, and available around the clock. Statements about staff treating residents like family, doing routine check-ins, and providing individualized attention appear frequently. Leadership receives positive mention for consistency and responsiveness; Desiree is specifically cited multiple times as going above and beyond and being available 24/7. Reviews also highlight that staff consistency contributes to a stable, trustworthy environment, and that the culture is one of pride in providing top-quality care.

Facilities and rooms: The facility itself is characterized as clean, well maintained, and updated. Positive details include spacious studio rooms, open floor plans, natural lighting, single suites, and a newer building feel in parts. The dining area is described as nice and home-like. A few reviews note that some areas are under construction or have planned updates (for example, new carpet), which suggests ongoing improvements rather than significant deficiencies. Overall, cleanliness and upkeep — including high standards for laundry — are repeatedly praised.

Dining and nutrition: Dining is another consistently strong point. Multiple reviews say meals are homemade, prepared from scratch by experienced culinary staff, tasty, and plentiful. Reviewers note abundant healthy snacks and high-quality meals that residents enjoy. The communal dining experience and the dining room’s cleanliness after meals are also commended, contributing to a family-like atmosphere around meals.

Activities and therapy: Auburn Fields appears to offer a robust schedule of activities that engage residents physically, socially, and creatively. Reported activities include chair bowling, singing, crafts, beach ball games, and other daily extracurriculars that keep residents involved and entertained. Reviewers also note effective physical therapy services and programming that contribute to improved resident health and happiness. The environment is described as lively, with laughter and social interaction being common.

Management, communication, and outcomes: Reviewers frequently mention good communication with management and staff responsiveness to questions or concerns. The administrator and coordinators are described as dedicated, prioritizing residents, and creating a home-like environment. Many reviews connect this strong management and staff culture to tangible positive outcomes — improved health, better mood, increased social engagement, and general satisfaction of residents and families.

Notable patterns and concerns: Negative remarks are few and minor. The only recurring concerns are related to ongoing construction or planned upgrades (for example, carpet replacement) and isolated notes that certain areas “needed a little work.” No serious safety, staffing shortage, or care-quality problems are reported in these summaries. The volume and consistency of positive comments across staffing, food, activities, cleanliness, and leadership suggest the facility’s strengths are broad-based rather than isolated.

Bottom line: Auburn Fields Assisted Living and Memory Care receives strong, near-universal praise in these reviews for compassionate, professional caregiving, clean and comfortable living spaces, excellent homemade dining, engaging activities, and responsive leadership. The primary weaknesses are limited to minor, temporary facility upgrades. For families seeking a small, family-like assisted living community with attentive staff and robust programming, these reviews present Auburn Fields as a highly recommended option.

About Auburn Fields Assisted Living and Memory Care

Auburn Fields Assisted Living and Memory Care sits on a quiet piece of land right in Auburn, Michigan, so the area feels peaceful and not too busy, but you're still close to restaurants, churches, hospitals, and other places people might need. The community offers both assisted living and memory care, which means they help seniors who need some support with daily activities as well as those with Alzheimer's or other memory issues, and everything is all state-certified for quality. The rooms come in different floor plans, such as private studios and larger one-bedroom suites, and each has its own bathroom and big windows. Staff and care professionals oversee everything with a focus on safety, providing things like grab bars in bathrooms, an emergency alert system, and exterior security cameras, and there's wheelchair access for those who need it, along with 24-hour supervision and full medication management. Special memory care units are secured for residents who tend to wander, and the staff gets training to help and guide those living with dementia or memory loss using personalized care plans and activity schedules that help residents feel engaged and less confused. Shared spaces include a big arts room, a game room, a library, and an aquarium that should hold 250 gallons when finished, plus there's new high-speed Wi-Fi and internet access throughout, so folks can stay connected. Outdoors, you'll find a fenced courtyard, a garden with walking paths, and spots to just sit and enjoy the air, and some activities happen outside too. Regular events and structured social programs like arts and crafts, religious services, and fitness classes help people make friends and stay sharp, and the dining program features meals cooked by chefs using good, healthy ingredients. There's parking available for visitors, and both communal and private spaces are used for different events so residents can join group activities or have time alone. Family reviews average 4.4 out of 5, which suggests most people feel cared for and safe here, and the staff gets noticed for being helpful and warm toward both residents and families. Auburn Fields falls between Bay City and Midland, so family members from those areas can come by easily, and close places like Auburn Pharmacy and medical clinics are handy for residents' everyday needs. The facility works to give seniors as much independence as possible while offering help where it's needed, and the environment leans friendly, with staff who take dignity seriously. The goal's always to make life easier and more comfortable, with enough events and support so nobody feels left out or ignored, no matter their level of independence.
