    About Wildwood

Wildwood is a licensed Adult Small Group Home in Michigan that cares for up to six residents, focusing on seniors who need help with daily living and medical support, and it sits in a peaceful community setting where people can have a private bedroom or studio suite that comes furnished with storage and a telephone if needed, which makes things comfortable for those who live there. The home serves people from Howell, Brighton, Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, and across the state, aiming to offer a supportive environment, and folks in Wildwood get help with bathing, dressing, using the bathroom, medication management, spoon feeding, and moving from one place to another-staff always stay awake and are available around the clock, with panic buttons for emergencies, so there's a sense of safety. Meals get served in a dining room, three times a day, but folks can also enjoy all-day dining and meals set up for allergies or diabetes, and there's always coffee on, plus the place cleans rooms, washes laundry, and can handle dry cleaning if someone needs it. Residents have access to a library, reading spaces, arts and crafts classes, movies at night, community activities, games like bingo and cards, and special events, with fitness and walking paths to keep people moving and a garden that's good for fresh air and sunshine. There's transportation for rides out and parking for those who need it, and the staff keeps up with routine health checks and medication, plus they help residents see outside doctors or get care from nurses, making sure everything stays coordinated for each person's individual needs, including those living with Alzheimer's or dementia or dealing with physical, mental, or developmental challenges, with programs specially named and designed for each need. The house runs under CARF International accreditation and works with Riversbend Rehabilitation, Inc., offering adult rehabilitation and unique training programs for staff, which means care stays focused and up to current standards. Wildwood doesn't accept Medicare unless certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, but it handles long-term non-acute care, offering people peace of mind, and provides activity centers, therapy gyms, and outdoor spaces where people can stay active, all in a place that aims to feel like home, not a hospital. There's a sense of community, with simple comforts like move-in help, emergency alert systems, a games room, scheduled events, and a staff that knows each resident's needs, making the days easy to manage, one at a time.
