About Hopkins 110Th Ave Adult Foster Care

Hopkins 110Th Ave Adult Foster Care sat out there in Evart, Michigan, right on 110th Avenue, and you could tell right away they wanted to help folks who needed extra care, because they took in adults who needed supervision, like those with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses, making a home for up to 12 residents, and people liked that because it gave them some stability and regular help with things like meals, bathing, dressing, and medication management. They had 24-hour supervision, and folks really seemed to appreciate having staff around at all hours, and the rooms came semi-private, with telephones, furnishings, and emergency alert systems, which made it feel safer, especially for people who could get confused or need help quickly. The place supported active daily living as much as possible, offering things like walking paths, a garden, transportation, laundry and housekeeping, so life felt a bit more normal, and they served meals in a dining room that let people eat any time during the day, which helped with all those special diets, whether it was diabetes, allergies, or something else. They ran plenty of activities like movie nights and daily social programs, keeping residents busy and social, and you could count on staff to help coordinate with doctors and nurses for healthcare. The whole experience felt like assisted living with a personal touch, thanks to Robert and Laura Hopkins, the licensees, and though the license ran from April 11, 2023, to April 10, 2025, the facility closed on August 1, 2024, which ended their run of providing a safe, structured space for this group of adults.
