Independence Village of Plymouth offers a range of senior living choices for people aged 55 and up, including Active Adult, Independent Living, Assisted Living, Enhanced Living, Nursing Home, Memory Care, and full Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) services, so if someone needs help with things like bathing or medication, they'll find options for that, but if they're active and want to live with like-minded folks, they can do so, and those who need help with memory loss, like Alzheimer's, can get services designed for that too, complete with secure, supportive areas to reduce confusion and wandering. The community has both common areas and private accommodations, with apartments that come in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts, offering wall-to-wall carpeting, kitchens, and private patios, and Club Plymouth even has one- and two-bedroom villas with wooden decks for those who want more privacy but still want easy access to the main property amenities. There are both indoor and outdoor features people notice, like landscaped walking areas and building exteriors, and inside you'll find a barbershop, beauty salon, a dental clinic, a library, game and activity rooms, a fitness center, and a banking center, all on site, plus there's a computer lab, a village café, and a business center if people want to handle their affairs without going far. Meals are prepared by a chef and served restaurant-style in an elegant dining room and there's a focus on making dishes from scratch, using fresh, quality ingredients, while dining options let people eat how they like, matching their dietary needs and tastes, and the staff keeps everything running smoothly with housekeeping, laundry, linen, and maintenance all included. For those who don't drive, chauffeured transportation goes to downtown Plymouth and Northville, so getting out for errands or a fun trip is simple, and there's parking for those with their own cars. The community holds lots of organized events and activities like bingo, billiards, cards, pinochle, Wii tournaments, exercise, Tai Chi, learning seminars, and outings, and there's a library for quiet reading plus plenty of social, cultural, spiritual, and educational programming, making it a busy place if residents want to join in. Independence Village of Plymouth allows pets and offers a friendly, welcoming atmosphere with staff who are professional, helpful, and kind, and they check their licensing twice yearly to make sure standards stay high. Tours are offered for those who'd like to see daily life and look inside apartments, and the facility is recognized in the "Best of Senior Living" community listings, so the care and support meets high ratings, and it's close to hospitals like Garden City Hospital and Ascension Providence Hospital - Novi Campus if medical care's needed nearby. Most people find the environment happy and resident-focused, with special features in each part of the campus aimed at comfort, independence, and safety as residents' needs change over time.

Warm attentive staff excellent facilities
I moved my mom here and couldn't be happier. The staff - from Executive Director Debbie Hall to the Life Enrichment team, dining servers, maintenance and reception - are warm, attentive and truly caring. The food is excellent, the rooms and grounds spotless, and there are nonstop, engaging activities that keep residents active and social. It's safe, home-like, resident-centered, and I highly recommend it.
