    About New Post

New Post (CLOSED) is a small group home that's no longer open and doesn't provide any care or services now, but it used to be part of Michigan's network of licensed adult small group homes, usually looking after up to six residents, mostly older adults or people who needed daily help, so folks got things like personal care, help with bathing or dressing, support with medication, and could join in activities just for seniors, plus some rooms were furnished for comfort while telephones in rooms, movie nights, walking paths, gardens, and a dining room for group meals were among the features, and meals could be tailored for special diets like diabetes or allergies, and they'd offer help if you needed to move in, and had emergency alert systems to keep everyone safe around the clock, with caregivers ready to lend a hand, but the real thing about New Post is that it's not running anymore, so there aren't any services, programs, or amenities available right now, even though before, they'd offer memory care, dementia care under certain rules, respite care and minimal nursing care sometimes, Hospice care under certain conditions, transportation, laundry and housekeeping, and activities to help everyone feel connected and have a routine, with the setting meant to balance support and independence, but since it's marked closed, none of those things are available or active anymore.
