    Beautiful clean caring senior community

I live here and I'm very pleased - the facility is beautiful, clean and state-of-the-art with spacious rooms, private patios and excellent amenities (theater, spa, library, courtyard). The staff are amazingly kind, well-trained and family-like - Chef Ann's homemade meals, engaging activities and Arbor Hospice partnership for end-of-life care have made me feel cared for, social, and safe after a recent fall. Issues are handled promptly, families are welcome, and management truly strives to spoil residents; overall I'm very happy with my choice, just not claiming it's flawless.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews for this assisted living and memory-care community are sharply polarized. Many families and residents praise the physical environment and lifestyle offerings: the building is new and attractively finished, with multiple communal amenities (theater, spa, library, courtyard), spacious private apartments that include patios, and a layout several reviewers described as home-like. Dining is frequently cited as a strength—three meals per day with homemade-style options, a chef-led kitchen, and accessible snack areas—and activity programming is highlighted as robust, with an engaged activities team and a broad calendar of social opportunities. Several reviewers also noted compassionate bedside caregiving, a family-like atmosphere, and positive end-of-life collaboration with hospice providers.

Alongside these positives, there are recurrent operational concerns that prospective residents and families should evaluate. Staffing stability and training emerge as primary issues: reviewers describe frequent turnover and inconsistent coverage that affect daily care. Memory-care capability is cited as limited in some accounts, suggesting the facility may not consistently meet the needs of residents with advanced cognitive impairment. Housekeeping and sanitation practices are described as uneven, and there are specific incontinence-care concerns tied to housekeeping reliability. Medication administration and missed doses are another pattern-level concern, as is inconsistent meal-service continuity during clinical or infection-control events.

Safety and clinical coordination are additional areas of mixed feedback. Several reviewers referenced falls, hospital transfers, or delayed clinical follow-up, and family notification about incidents or changes in condition was frequently described as inadequate. Transfer coordination with hospitals and timely post-discharge care arrangements were identified as gaps. Weekend staffing and slower response times during off-hours were also mentioned. Separately, there are serious administrative concerns: delays in billing resolution or refunds, unreturned calls about financial matters, and broader management transparency issues. A small number of reviews include stronger allegations related to missing resident belongings and to financial or administrative misconduct; these items may warrant independent verification with regulatory records.

In sum, the community offers many of the physical and lifestyle features families commonly seek—modern facilities, a full activity program, and appealing dining—paired with staff who in many accounts are caring and engaged. However, operational weaknesses around staffing stability, memory-care competence, housekeeping consistency, medication administration, incident communication, and administrative transparency create a mixed overall picture. Prospective residents and their families should tour during different times of day (including weekends), meet memory-care staff and the clinical lead, ask for staffing ratios and turnover statistics, review housekeeping and medication protocols, confirm incident-notification procedures, inspect dining at mealtime, and request documentation regarding billing and any regulatory actions before making a placement decision.
