Crosaires

Crosaires used to be a small adult group home on Zimmer Road in Williamston, Michigan, where up to six people could live together in a big ranch house out in the country, and it did feel like a real home because everybody shared spaces and spent time on the walking paths or in the gardens when the weather was nice, and some folks liked to help with gardening or go on recreational outings while others liked movie nights or just having quiet time, and there was always staff around to give help with things like bathing, dressing, and taking medicine, plus they did special care for people with memory problems or Alzheimer's disease, all while keeping a close eye on health needs and working with outside doctors and nurses as needed, so meals were cooked fresh and served in a dining room where people ate together, sometimes following special diets for people with allergies or diabetes, and rooms were furnished with telephones so residents stayed connected, while laundry and housekeeping happened regularly, and activities changed every day to help people feel like they belonged, including scheduled events or even devotional times, and they did offer short-term stays for respite, and there were waivers for dementia and hospice care, and the home kept a focus on safety with 24-hour supervision, but, as a note, Crosaires closed on September 6, 2022, after being open for two years, and the license expired not long after, but many still remember the personalized attention and care given during its time of operation.
