    Modern, clean community with value

    I toured a few places and picked The Lodge/The Shores for my mom - she's settling in nicely. The community is clean, secure, and well cared for with modern units (in-unit washer/dryer, new carpet/paint), underground parking, and friendly, active residents. Management (especially Lance/Scot and the staff) is attentive and helpful, activities are varied (bingo, movie nights, puzzle room, library), and overall it's good value. Note there's no meal program (residents cook their own meals), staff hours can be limited so some maintenance can be slow, and the older building has occasional appliance/elevator issues and street noise. Despite that, we're very pleased and I'd recommend it to family and friends.
