    Warm attentive staff, clean home

I chose this community for my mom and I'm very pleased. The staff are warm, attentive and professional - nurses and the director are hands-on and caring. The building is clean, comfortable and homey with lovely mountain views, wide hallways and easy maneuverability. Meals, live music and regular activities keep residents engaged, and maintenance/personnel are responsive. Overall a welcoming, well-run place I would recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The Lodge presents as a newer, well-kept assisted living and memory-care community with a strong emphasis on hospitality and social programming. Reviewers consistently praise the facility’s cleanliness, modern common areas, pleasant views, and the availability of multiple gathering spaces (media room, bistro, dining room, library, salon, chapel, and outdoor gardening). Many families highlight the facility’s warm, family-like atmosphere and describe staff interactions as compassionate and attentive, with particular commendation for move-in coordination and responsive maintenance support.

Care and staff: Staffing quality is a central strength and a central area of variability. Numerous accounts describe patient, personable caregivers and engaged management who provide individualized attention and create close bonds with residents. At the same time, staffing stability and turnover are recurring operational concerns; reviewers note newer or temporary employees, inconsistent responsiveness to paging, and instances where families needed to supplement basic care. There are also serious safety-related themes to consider: concerns about fall prevention, post-fall clinical follow-up, and inconsistent assistance with toileting and other ADLs have been raised. These indicate that clinical oversight and staff training/coverage may be uneven at times.

Dining and activities: The Lodge offers restaurant-style dining and a robust activity calendar that includes live music, movies, bingo, Bunco, happy hours, bus outings, and fitness classes. Many residents enjoy the food and communal dining experience; some reviews describe efficient, polite dining staff and well-presented meals. However, dining experience is described as inconsistent by other families, with occasional cafeteria-style service, uneven meal quality, and questions about nutritional consistency. Activity programming is lively and varied for ambulatory residents, but some families note that programming is less accessible to residents with limited mobility or small memory-care spaces, so the benefit of activities depends on individual functional status.

Facilities and safety: Physically, the property scores well for cleanliness, accessibility, and contemporary finishes—private studios with ensuite bathrooms, wide hallways, walk-in showers, and thoughtful common spaces are repeatedly mentioned. Maintenance responsiveness is often praised, though there are also reports of delays in housekeeping follow-up and incomplete cleaning in some areas, pointing to variability in housekeeping protocols. The memory-care unit is described as small with constrained walking space; operational practices there (including unit access when staff are not present) should be clarified by prospective families. Additional operational concerns include limited transportation options for off-site medical appointments and questions about security of resident belongings.

Management and value: Management presence receives mixed feedback. Several reviewers singled out move-in staff and on-site directors for professional, hands-on coordination, while others experienced poor communication, delayed follow-up, or perceived dismissive attitudes from certain staff members. Cost is generally seen as competitive, with some families calling the Lodge good value for the price, though a few feel the rate is high relative to unit size or amenity breadth. For families considering The Lodge, a careful, focused tour is advisable: review staffing ratios and turnover, inspect housekeeping and maintenance processes, ask about fall-prevention protocols and post-incident communication, evaluate memory-care unit layout, and confirm transportation availability.

Bottom line: The Lodge is well-suited for prospective residents seeking a clean, modern community with active social programming, compassionate staff, and restaurant-style dining at a competitive price point. Prospective residents and families should verify clinical oversight, staffing consistency, housekeeping standards, and memory-care arrangements to ensure the community’s operational practices meet the specific safety and mobility needs of the individual.
