    Clean caring staff; short stays

I placed my grandmother here for a short stay. The place is clean and well-staffed - dedicated medtech, cook and activities coordinator - and the staff and care have been wonderful. Food is generally tasty (a bit bland for her), rooms are clean and upstairs looks nice amid remodeling; it's not fancy and costs more, but I think it's worth it. One caveat: I noticed a lot of short stays/turnover, which gave me some pause.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment in the reviews is mixed but leans toward positive in multiple practical areas, with a single strongly negative outlier that raises serious concerns. Several reviewers emphasize cleanliness, a higher staff-to-resident ratio, and the presence of dedicated personnel (a medtech, cook, and activities coordinator), and they report that staff are wonderful and care is very good. Structural investment is also noted: remodeling is underway and the upstairs areas are described as nice. Rooms are consistently described as clean, and the facility is viewed by some as worth the higher cost, particularly for short or respite stays.

Care quality and staffing receive generally favorable comments: multiple reviewers call out dedicated clinical support (medtech) and praise staff and caregiving. The higher staffing ratio is repeatedly noted, which supports the positive impressions of attentive care. At the same time, there is a contradictory, highly negative review in Spanish describing the situation as a "disaster," alleging that residents "die slowly," calling the operation a "joke of work," and stating that "nobody lasts more than 3 months." Those claims suggest possible serious problems (either with care quality or with turnover), but they stand apart from the other, more positive accounts. Because that negative review is severe and specific, it is a prominent pattern that should be considered alongside the positive remarks rather than dismissed.

Facilities are described as clean and undergoing improvement. Renovations and an improved upstairs were pointed out positively, and rooms were described as clean but "not fancy," indicating a functional, well-maintained environment rather than luxury accommodations. Remodeling in progress was mentioned twice โ€” once as a positive sign of updates and once as a potential disruption, depending on the reviewers perspective. Several reviewers reported short stays; in context these were positive (e.g., respite or short-term stays that went well), but the phrase "short stay" also appears with the negative review that claims nobody lasts more than three months, so the meaning differs across reviewers.

Dining and activities show mixed feedback: there is a dedicated cook and an activities coordinator, and some reviewers find the meals tasty. However, at least one reviewer reported bland food for a family member, so food quality appears variable or subjective. The presence of dedicated staff for meals and activities is a consistent positive, suggesting the facility prioritizes structured programming and meal service, even if individual tastes differ.

Cost and value perceptions are mostly positive among those who mention price: multiple reviewers note the facility is more expensive but say its worth it for the level of care and staffing provided. The trade-off appears to be higher cost in exchange for more attentive staffing and better maintenance. That said, cost remains a potential deterrent and is listed among the cons.

In summary, the dominant themes are solid cleanliness, above-average staffing levels, dedicated personnel (medtech, cook, activities coordinator), generally good care and helpful staff, and ongoing facility improvements โ€” all of which lead many reviewers to view higher costs as justified. Counterbalancing those positives is at least one very severe negative review alleging neglect, rapid turnover, and resident decline; this stands out and introduces significant concern that warrants verification. Prospective residents or families should weigh the prevailing favorable reports against that serious allegation, ask direct questions about staffing stability, incident history, and supervision, request recent inspection reports, and, if possible, visit during mealtime and activities to gauge consistency before deciding.
