    Professional, caring memory care staff

I'm very pleased with the professional, cooperative, and caring staff - responsive nurses/CNAs, a helpful social worker, and supportive team members (Pablita, Marcus, Becky) made the transition easy. The campus is well cared for with nutritious meals, activities, safe comfortable apartments with full kitchens/patios and transportation help; I trust my loved one is in compassionate, competent memory care and would recommend this community.

About The Village at Northrise - Morningside

The Village at Northrise - Morningside in Las Cruces, New Mexico, sits on a fenced campus at 2880 N Roadrunner Parkway and has four different facilities with services for people 55 and older, including men and women, and there's a spot for those who need hospice care too. The place runs under Genesis HealthCare and covers many options, including independent living at Hallmark Independent Living, skilled nursing at Desert Willows I, memory care at Desert Willows II, and assisted living in Morningside, which means people can move in with different needs and still stay on the same campus if their needs change. The two-story building has 79 apartments available in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts, with some pet-friendly options if someone's dog is under 20 pounds, vaccinated, and well-behaved, with a pet fee and deposit. Monthly rent for a one-bedroom starts around $4,100 and covers room, three meals a day (with breakfast, lunch, dinner, plus Bistro menu items), utilities except phone, cable, Wi-Fi, housekeeping, and laundry, with more help available for extra monthly amounts depending on the care level.

Apartments have air conditioning with controls in each room, a refrigerator, and a stove for folks who like to make a snack. People get help with daily things like bathing, dressing, and taking medicine if they need it, and the staff includes CNAs, certified caregivers, plus an RN on-site most days and an LPN building director on call at all hours, which makes it feel like someone's always around when needed. Residents get pendants and bathroom help buttons that call staff right away, and there's always someone watching the front doors at night and locked gates for safety. Wellness checks happen about every six months, and the place is quick to call family if there's a big change in someone's health.

There are activity rooms, a fitness room, and a therapy gym with help for physical, occupational, or speech problems, and the recreation team runs things like movie nights, field trips, tournaments, and art classes like Painting with a Twist. The garden's got walking paths, and there are comfortable lounges, a library, private dining for family get-togethers, and a beauty salon/barber shop so folks can feel put together. There are daily activities, community events, and even wellness seminars to learn about health, plus scheduled transportation for doctor or dentist visits if someone gives them enough heads-up. For those needing a temporary stay, respite care's there at a daily rate with a three-day minimum and thirty-day max.

Nursing care runs for twelve to sixteen hours a day, with someone always on call, and the wireless emergency alert helps folks get quick attention if they need it. Morningside has a director to talk to when there are complaints, and there are transition supports through handbooks and staff for those who are adjusting, and the place keeps a waiting list for Medicaid patients even while some apartments are open. There's a nearby hospital about six kilometers away, a local pharmacy, and a café to help make daily life easier, and the grounds have gardens and paths for a stroll. The Village at Northrise - Morningside fits a range of needs, giving people a chance to stay comfortable and safe with care that changes as they do, and it's one of many communities run by Genesis HealthCare spread out across several states.
