    Small facility, compassionate care, improvement

I'm very pleased with this smaller facility - the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, and my brother has shown dramatic improvement under their care. Housekeeping and laundry are included, meals and snacks are delicious, and the place feels comfortable, safe, with solid mental-health support. COVID visitor restrictions are in place, but I would recommend this place to others.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews present a mixed picture of care and operations at the facility. Positive accounts emphasize a small, personal environment with staff described as friendly and accommodating, meals and snacks that families found satisfying, included housekeeping and laundry, and available mental-health support. Several families reported observable improvements in residents' well-being after admission, and some noted that the facility felt comfortable and safe under current visitation policies implemented for infection control.

Care quality and clinical oversight emerge as areas of concern for other families. There are recurring indications of limited on-site medical staffing and gaps in clinical supervision, which reviewers linked to inconsistent responses to resident needs. Related operational traits include inconsistent staffing levels and coverage that can affect routine care tasks and supervision during daily activities.

Staff behavior and responsiveness show a bifurcated pattern: many reviewers praise individual caregivers for compassion and positive interactions, while others report concerns about staff conduct, communication tone, and responsiveness. Phone lines and family communication were specifically noted as unreliable in some accounts, and reviewers described occasions when residents appeared unattended or delays occurred in addressing needs.

Dining and housekeeping received generally positive remarks from families who experienced regular meals and included laundry/housekeeping services. However, housekeeping and sanitation practices were described as inconsistent in other accounts, and some reviewers reported plumbing and maintenance issues that impacted cleanliness and comfort in resident rooms and common areas.

Facility safety and management practices are another area with divergent feedback. Positive comments cite a small, familiar setting and staff who make residents comfortable, but critical comments point to inconsistent enforcement of policies (including substance-use and visitor rules), perceived lax administrative oversight, and serious claims regarding resident property that would warrant investigation. These patterns suggest uneven policy implementation and gaps in management follow-through.

Overall, the facility appears to deliver good experiences for some families—particularly those who value a smaller community and who report attentive caregivers—while others encountered operational weaknesses that affected trust and perceived safety. Prospective residents and families should ask specifically about staffing ratios and clinical coverage, housekeeping and maintenance protocols, policies and enforcement around substance use and resident safety, family communication practices (including phone responsiveness), and procedures for handling complaints and protecting resident property before making a placement decision.
