    Spotless community with excellent care

I toured this large, beautifully decorated community and was impressed: spotless facility, pretty grounds, private-feeling apartments, and three levels of care including rehab and memory care. CNAs and staff were caring and professional, meals and services were excellent, activities and arts & crafts plentiful, and showers/amenities are being upgraded - overall a very positive experience.

    Summary of reviews

Overall, the reviews present Trinity Village as a large, multi-level senior care campus with notable strengths in environment, clinical offerings, and direct caregiving. The campus is described as attractive and well decorated with appealing outdoor spaces and bright common areas. Multiple levels of care are available on-site, including independent living, rehabilitation, and a secure memory-care section, which supports continuity for residents who require changing levels of support.

Care quality and staffing are frequently cited as strengths. Reviewers commonly highlight compassionate CNAs and caregiving staff who attend to resident needs and keep common areas clean and well supplied. The facility’s rehabilitation services and memory-care programming are viewed positively. At the same time, there are operational concerns related to staffing practices and oversight: accounts raise questions about staff qualifications and supervisory consistency, and reviewers perceived some variability in how staff tasks are managed across shifts.

Dining and services receive generally favorable comments. Meals are described as well done and the culinary team accommodates dietary needs. Admissions experiences tend to be positive, with thorough tours and well-presented apartments. However, service availability appears to vary by section; independent-living areas are described as having an independent-living atmosphere with fewer embedded services, and ongoing construction has at times limited services or access in affected areas.

Activity programming is an area of mixed feedback. The community offers arts-and-crafts, organized functions, and therapy-driven activities, but reviewers noted limited programming beyond physical therapy in some parts of the campus. Prospective residents who prioritize a broad social and recreational calendar should inquire about the full activity schedule for the specific neighborhood or level of care they are considering.

Facility maintenance and safety show both positives and gaps. Many common spaces are clean and odor-free, but there are cited inconsistencies in maintenance and cleanliness within some private apartments. Safety improvements, such as adding grab bars and shower chairs, were underway in some locations, suggesting attention to fall-prevention needs, though availability of those safety features was not uniform across all units at the time of review.

Administrative and business practices are another notable theme. Reviewers referenced repeated billing errors and slower responsiveness from the business office, indicating potential process or staffing weaknesses in administrative functions. Those concerns, combined with construction-related service disruptions, suggest families should review contract terms, billing procedures, and planned capital projects during the decision process.

In sum, Trinity Village appears to offer a well-appointed campus with strong direct-care teams, a solid dining program, and comprehensive clinical services across levels of care. Potential residents and families should weigh those strengths against variability in activity offerings, localized maintenance and safety feature availability, and administrative reliability. When considering Trinity Village, request up-to-date information on activity calendars by neighborhood, specifics about current and planned construction impacts, confirmation of safety equipment in the desired unit, and a clear explanation of billing procedures and points of contact for administrative follow-up.

    About Trinity Village

Trinity Village sits on 21st Street, NE in Hickory, North Carolina, and serves as a senior care provider for people with several types of needs, including adults with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or those who might wander, because the staff created a secure and safe environment and even put in a covered patio with rocking chairs, where everyone can sit outside and enjoy some air without worry. The facility can hold up to 63 participants with a 1:6 staff to participant ratio, and has a separate healthcare wing where people can rest during the day or receive a checkup in the exam room, while caregivers help with conditions that might be more serious, like diabetes, wounds, feeding tubes, incontinence, and medication injections, and there's even a shower for those who need bathing help, though there are extra fees for that. Trinity Village has 104 skilled nursing beds and handles things like assisted living, Alzheimer's care units, respite care for those staying short-term, and rehabilitation services. Nurses are on duty around the clock. Meals are planned for nutrition, and every person gets an individualized plan if needed. The building includes an emergency system, an on-site beauty salon and barbershop, a pharmacy, and space for different therapies and therapeutic activities. They have restorative care, and you'll find a dentist and a podiatrist visiting. Volunteers, a chaplain, and spiritual programs for many faiths are there, too. The place runs pet programs in the Alzheimer's care units, so residents might see or interact with dogs, cats, and birds. There's regular housekeeping, newspaper delivery, internet access, private phones, and a library. There's transportation if anyone needs to go to medical appointments or run errands. Trinity Village ties to Trinity Rehab for therapy and provides outpatient therapy, too. Kendra Hendren leads the team as administrator. They try some new ideas in therapeutic services and also keep their information connected on Meta platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads, even handling some services through those.
