    Great short-term rehab attentive staff

I placed my mom here for short-term rehab and have been very pleased. The newly remodeled, clean rooms have in-room baths and TVs, the food is good, and the gardens are lovely. The staff - nurses, caregivers, maintenance and admin - are warm, attentive and familiar with residents; there are lots of social activities (Pretty Nails, church services, newsletters), excellent PT and wound care, and a welcoming, safe atmosphere I highly recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize a clean, newly remodeled facility with pleasant rooms (including in-room bathrooms and TVs) and attractive outdoor spaces such as gardens with roses and birds. Many comments describe the environment as welcoming, safe, and comfortable for residents and visitors alike. The facility is portrayed as well-maintained, with helpful maintenance personnel and an overall positive atmosphere.

Care quality is consistently highlighted as a strength. Nurses and caregivers are frequently described as familiar with residents, kind, and patient-positive in their approach. Multiple reviewers singled out specific staff members (for example, Kim and Brittany Spencer) and teams for praise, noting excellent short-term rehab and physical therapy services as well as strong wound care capabilities. Reviewers report that medical needs are met, residents see doctors as needed, and families feel their loved ones receive very good care.

Staffing and interpersonal culture are central themes. The facility is depicted as having friendly, warm, and welcoming personnel who create a family-like environment where visitors feel remembered and residents are treated with dignity. There is evidence of staff recognition and training programs, which reviewers link to positive resident experiences. Administration and management also receive positive mentions: the administrator is described as attentive and responsive, concerns are addressed, and problem solving is often prompt. These management traits contribute to reviewers’ willingness to recommend the facility.

Activities, engagement, and programming are well represented in the reviews. Residents enjoy a variety of social activities, newsletters, volunteer opportunities, and specialty offerings such as a Pretty Nails program and Sunday church services. Reviewers note that the facility helps residents meet new people and stay socially active, and that the activity calendar contributes positively to resident well-being and satisfaction.

The most commonly cited areas for improvement are limited but consistent: some reviewers report occasional inattentiveness from certain staff members, and several note that the initial transition into the facility can be challenging. Communication among staff has been mentioned as an intermittent issue, though multiple reviews also state that communication improved over time and that management addressed concerns when raised. These comments suggest that while overall staff quality and responsiveness are high, maintaining consistent attentiveness and smoothing the admission/transition process would strengthen the experience further.

In summary, the reviews paint Anson Health & Rehabilitation as a clean, attractive, and well-run facility with strong clinical and rehabilitative services, caring and familiar staff, abundant activities, and an administration that listens and responds. The positive reports about physical therapy, wound care, and individualized attention are frequent and specific. The primary constructive feedback centers on occasional lapses in staff attentiveness and early transition challenges — issues that reviewers indicate can be mitigated by clearer communication and continued staff training. Overall, reviewers feel comfortable recommending the facility and describe it as a safe, welcoming place where residents are well cared for and engaged.

    About Anson Health & Rehabilitation

Anson Health & Rehabilitation sits at 405 South Greene Street in Wadesboro, North Carolina, and folks know it mostly for its skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services. The place runs round the clock with 24-hour nursing care supervised by doctors, helping residents with everyday needs like bathing, dressing, eating, and taking medicine, and that's important since care continues day and night. The facility has 95 certified beds and usually cares for about 66 people on an average day, so it's not overly crowded, which helps staff keep an eye on each resident. Nurses there provide about 3.86 hours of care per resident each day, but there is a 22.4% nurse turnover rate, which is something families might find worth noting when thinking over consistency of caregivers. The center's managed by Kim Mooneyham and falls under the ownership of Ardent Health And Rehabilitation Co., running as a for-profit limited liability company with affiliations through Sanstone Health & Rehabilitation. Inspection reports show at least six deficiencies, mainly concerning resident rights, pressure ulcer care, preventing accidents, and making sure residents get enough food and fluids, so it's clear there's room for improvement in those areas, like many facilities. The facility follows Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity rules. If someone wants to know more about what exactly they do, they can find a little information on their official website, though details on specific amenities, programs, or features aren't all laid out. The building's meant for people needing skilled nursing or rehab services, and it's open every day, all day.
