Brookwood Place

Brookwood Place, part of Brethren Care Village in Ashland, Ohio, is a large assisted living community with 60 beds that gives seniors different options like one-bedroom apartments, studios, and shared living spaces all on a single floor so folks don't have to worry about stairs and long hallways. Meals are served restaurant-style by cooks in The Greens Bistro & Pub, and there's help for daily needs such as bathing, dressing, medication, and moving around, so whether someone needs incontinence care, diabetic care, non-ambulatory assistance, or help with memory problems, staff are trained for all of that and someone's always there with 24/7 nursing care and an emergency response, along with a WanderGuard system to keep everyone safe if they wander. Walking paths and a game room are good for activities, and there's a strong sense of community with social events, group outings, and trips. Brookwood Place operates as a Christian-based community, and it's certified by the ODA to take part in the Assisted Living Medicaid Waiver Program. The campus is secure day and night, there's onsite parking, and residents can use the community park, get nutritious meals, and feel at home in a family-like environment where staff help with whatever is needed, whether someone needs a little care or more support with things like memory care or rehabilitation.
