    About Amai Angeline

Amai Angeline, which is now closed, used to be in a quiet neighborhood near Hoover Reservoir Park in Westerville, Ohio, and the place had options for seniors who needed different types of care, so there were assisted living, board and care, memory care, and even skilled nursing services for those with more medical needs, and the building itself was a single-story brick home with polished wood floors and a big stone fireplace in the living room, plus a sunroom full of light where residents could do arts and crafts or just relax, and outside there was a fenced-in yard with gardens and walking paths which was nice for fresh air yet safe for people who wander due to dementia or Alzheimer's, and because they only cared for up to five residents at a time, each person got lots of personal attention and it felt more like a family home than a facility, and there were both private and semi-private bedrooms with round-the-clock care from staff who helped with daily routines like medication, bathing, and meals, and every week a registered nurse came to check on residents' health while being available any time for emergencies, and caregivers could folks to their doctor's visits, plus there were counseling services and mental health support from psychiatrists and psychoanalysts for those who needed it, and the meals were cooked on-site with dietary restrictions in mind, plus a visiting hair stylist would come to keep folks looking neat, and the community tried to keep everyone active with a full schedule of activities including crafts in the sunroom, group dining, and special events so people wouldn't feel isolated, and with a low caregiver-to-resident ratio there was always someone nearby, and for those who wanted a quieter or more social day, there were sunrooms, front porches, or the backyard to sit and chat or just enjoy the nature, and the secured setting with memory care programs made it possible for people with memory loss to be safe while staying engaged, and the community also offered hospice care for those who needed end-of-life support, so overall it served seniors who wanted to remain in the same caring environment even if their needs changed over time, and nearby there were amenities like cafes, parks, pharmacies, and cultural spots for outings when possible, and while the facility had a good reputation for quality care under the name AMAI ANGELINE, LLC, with Miss Choice Gilbert as the founder, it sadly isn't open any longer, but people said it was a warm place where small scale and familiar faces made a difference.
