    Clean rooms, caring professional staff

I'm very pleased with my experience here. The grounds and rooms are clean and comfortable, with great views and lots of amenities (therapy, pool/land classes, chapel, theater, salon), and the programming keeps residents active and social. Most importantly the staff are caring, professional and respectful-admissions and rehab coordination (Tina Grassman) was smooth-and I'd recommend this facility to families seeking compassionate, dignified care.

    Summary of reviews

Town Square at West View presents as a largely modern and amenity-rich senior living community with a recently added state-of-the-art wing and attractive hilltop grounds. Reviewers consistently praise the facility's appearance, communal spaces, and scenic views. The campus model — including a town-square layout with shops, a theater, salon, dining venues, and a chapel — supports a lively social environment and easy access to multiple on-site services.

Care quality and staff performance receive mostly favorable comments. Many families and residents describe staff as friendly, compassionate, and professional; nurses, aides, therapists, and social-work staff are frequently singled out for helpfulness. Rehabilitation services — including physical therapy and pool-based programs — are highlighted as strengths, as is smooth admission and coordination with hospitals and rehab centers. At the same time, reviews indicate operational challenges around staffing consistency: some accounts describe short staffing, high workloads, and variable supervision or training. These operational issues have been linked to delays in routine care and uneven experiences across residents.

Dining and activities are clear strong points. The community offers in-house restaurant-style dining with multiple alternatives and generally positive comments about food quality. A broad activities calendar includes exercise classes (pool and land), games, Bible study, movie nights, and social clubs; residents report frequent social opportunities and well-attended programming that support engagement and quality of life.

Facilities and accommodations vary across the campus. The new wing and many suites are described as spacious, clean, and well equipped with in-room thermostats, HDTVs, and Wi‑Fi. However, reviewers note a contrast between the newer units and older sections: some rooms in the original building are small and dated, and a few residents found particular units cramped relative to price. Grounds maintenance and communal areas are generally praised, though some comments point to uneven distribution of common spaces and localized sanitation or skin-integrity oversight concerns that suggest variability in day-to-day care processes.

Management and organizational patterns show mixed impressions. Admission staff and certain administrators are described as professional and accommodating, and the nonprofit orientation is viewed positively by some families. Conversely, there are recurrent themes about inconsistent management practices, HR and scheduling issues, and perceptions that financial considerations sometimes drive decisions. During infection-control events (for example, extended visitation restrictions), some families experienced limited flexibility and wanted clearer communication options. Infrastructure-wise, Wi‑Fi in rooms is often adequate but cellphone reception is noted as poor in areas.

Overall, Town Square at West View offers a robust set of amenities, engaging programming, and many instances of strong, compassionate care—particularly in its newer spaces and rehab services. Prospective residents and families should weigh the strong amenity set and social environment against operational caveats: price relative to unit size, variability between new and older sections, and reports of inconsistent staffing and management practices. Visiting in person to inspect specific apartment units, ask about staffing ratios and training, and discuss policies on visitation and clinical oversight will help families gauge whether the community’s strengths align with individual care and lifestyle needs.
