    Highly satisfied with father's care

I'm very satisfied with the care my father received. The staff were extremely experienced, patient, empathetic and reliable; the facility was spotless and the food excellent. Kind, generous caregivers who met all his needs - I'd happily recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Review content reflects a largely positive view of day-to-day operations at Diamond Care Home, with many accounts emphasizing compassionate, experienced caregivers, a clean physical environment, and well-regarded meals. Several reviewers expressed satisfaction with how resident needs were met and noted that the facility gave families relief and confidence in care. These consistent positives suggest operational strengths in basic hygiene, dining services, and routine caregiving.

Care quality Care is described as attentive and capable in many accounts: staff are characterized as patient, empathetic, dedicated, and reliable, and families report that residents’ personal needs were met. At the same time, there are a few highly negative accounts alleging significant problems with care quality and responsiveness. These isolated but serious complaints indicate variability in the resident experience rather than a uniform standard across the facility.

Staff and management Staff are frequently praised for compassion and experience, which aligns with reports of effective caregiving and family reassurance. However, contrasting descriptions of rudeness and unprofessional conduct point to inconsistency in staff behavior and communication tone. This pattern suggests possible gaps in training, supervision, or staff oversight that may allow uneven performance. Prospective families should ask management about staff training programs, supervision practices, turnover rates, and how conduct or communication issues are handled.

Dining, activities, and facilities Dining is a clear strength in the available summaries; food quality is described positively and contributes to overall satisfaction. The facility itself is consistently described as clean and well-maintained. There is limited information about structured activities or programming in the summaries provided; absence of commentary does not imply deficiency, but families interested in social and recreational offerings should request details and sample weekly activity schedules during a visit.

Notable patterns and guidance for families The dominant pattern is positive—compassionate caregivers, cleanliness, and good food—tempered by a small number of strongly negative accounts that raise concerns about inconsistent professionalism and care reliability. Those contrasting reports warrant attention because they point to variability at the staff level rather than a single, facility-wide failure. Recommended next steps for prospective residents and families include in-person visits at different times of day, conversations with the director about staff orientation and supervision, review of incident-communication procedures, and references from current families to better assess day-to-day consistency.

    About Diamond Care Home

Diamond Care Home sits on Southwest Farmington Road in Hillsboro, Oregon, and gives seniors a quiet place to live with all the comforts of a home setting, so folks living there can count on a steady and caring routine, and you find those big windows that let in light and put you close to city hospitals, doctors, and small shops nearby, with plenty of trees around and a sense that you're somewhere restful but never too far from help, and if someone needs to check what's available, there's a system that lets families look up vacancies in real time, though right now they don't have any open spots because they're having a technical issue, and on top of that, everything the home does runs by a rating system that checks things like cleanliness, location, and how well they talk with families, which makes a difference for folks needing regular updates about their loved ones. Diamond Care Home falls under Class 3, as an Adult Foster Care Home, and serves people needing help at different support levels, including memory care for those with dementia or Alzheimer's, and those who need diabetes care, medication management, catheter or colostomy help, incontinence care, and even hospice, so families don't need to worry about moving someone if their care needs change, and there are also respite options if caregivers just need a short break. Staff there know how to speak Romanian, and the rooms come private if residents want extra space, with wheelchair accessible showers, private baths, and doors wide enough for easy moving, so it's easier for anyone with mobility challenges to live comfortably, and smoking's allowed just in certain outside areas because inside there's a no-smoking rule in all private and public rooms. Meals come with the option for kosher or vegetarian, and dining with others usually happens in light-filled shared rooms, and there are plenty of activities for people who like to keep busy, with programs onsite and offsite that focus on everything from devotional time to social groups, and both indoor and outdoor common areas mean people can sit together, talk, or just breathe in the fresh air, and for folks with pets, cats and dogs up to 30 pounds can stay, so there's never a need to leave a companion at home. Health care professionals like nurses, dentists, doctors, and therapists are available either on call or through visits, and they offer podiatry, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and there are meal and housekeeping services, rides for a fee, and even beauty and barber care. Safety's high, as they use secured entry and Wander Guard-type protections for residents who might wander. Diamond Care Home runs under a published pricing plan and keeps things simple and clear for family members, and the friendly staff focuses on building real connections with residents, offering a daily variety of support to help everyone stay as independent as possible, and there's a focus on making life better with each day, even for those who need a lot of help, so the community gets a steady 4.0 star rating from families who like the honest, home-like feel.
