    Moved my mom; excellent care

I moved my mom here and have been very pleased - the staff are consistently kind, attentive and professional, nursing and on-site therapy are knowledgeable, and communication and the move-in were smooth. The facility is spotless and beautifully renovated, meals are delicious café-style, activities are lively, and overall it feels like a caring, hotel-like place that gives me real peace of mind; I would recommend it to families.

    Summary of reviews

Mountain View Senior Living receives frequent praise for its compassionate, family-oriented staff, strong communication, and a generally well-maintained, recently renovated environment. Many families highlighted personalized care, staff who learn residents by name, proactive updates (including photos and virtual visits during infection-control periods), and an attentive front desk and administration. Clinical and rehabilitative resources are notable strengths: reviewers cited on-site therapy services, specialty clinics, 24-hour nursing coverage, dietician-planned meals, and coordinated hospice involvement when appropriate.

Dining and activities are recurring positives. The facility offers cafe-style dining with varied menu choices, alternative options, and generous portions according to many accounts. The activities program is described as active and engaging, with bingo, outings, spiritual programming, arts and crafts, and an on-site salon contributing to resident quality of life. Outdoor and common areas are viewed as pleasant and accessible, and many reviewers cited the facility’s modern, hotel-like décor as welcoming.

At the same time, reviewers describe operational shortcomings that prospective families should evaluate. A number of critiques point to inconsistent management and uneven staff competency across shifts or teams. Related operational traits include lapses in timely responsiveness to call alarms and urgent needs, weaknesses in medication administration and documentation controls, and variable housekeeping standards that have led to sanitation and odor concerns in certain rooms. There are also examples of inadequate belongings tracking and shortfalls in move-in/transition processes.

Logistical and service-delivery issues also appear in the comments. Several reviewers noted dining continuity problems (menu items unavailable late in service), dining accessibility challenges for wheelchair users, and occasional variability in food quality. Facility constraints such as small or slow elevators and limited visitor parking were raised as practical concerns that can affect mobility and visitation. A few reviewers raised serious concerns—including delayed responses, medication/administration lapses, and sanitation issues—which warrant direct discussion during a tour and review of facility policies.

Management and leadership receive mixed evaluations: many families commended administrators for being communicative and accommodating, while others described inconsistent oversight or emotionally driven decisions. Prospective residents and family members should request specific information during a visit: staffing ratios and training procedures, medication administration and incident-response protocols, housekeeping and sanitation audits, belongings-tracking procedures, dining service schedules and accessibility accommodations, and visitation/security policies. Overall, Mountain View offers a strong package of clinical and social programming with widely praised staff and amenities, but families should probe the operational areas noted above to ensure a good match for individual needs.
