    Attentive staff homelike peaceful setting

I'm pleased with this small, family-run personal care home - Shawn and the attentive staff provide excellent hands-on care, medication management, transportation to appointments, and COVID precautions. The homelike, beautiful new facility in a peaceful rural setting (patio, creek, horses and friendly animals) serves homecooked, well-balanced meals and even has an in-home hairdresser; my mother is comfortable and happy here. I appreciate everyone's dedication and would recommend it to families seeking personal, loving care in a relaxed, small-community setting.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment from the reviews is strongly positive: families repeatedly describe Fawn Personal Care Home as a small, family-owned, and deeply caring residential option that meets or exceeds expectations for personal and medical support. The dominant themes are attentive, experienced staff and ownership; a homelike, relaxed atmosphere; and personalized service tied to the facility’s small size. Multiple reviewers explicitly said they were very happy with how the home met their parents’ needs and described staff efforts as exceptional.

Care quality and staff: Reviews consistently praise the quality of care. Caregivers and ownership are described as attentive, caring, and experienced (one reviewer specifically named Shawn as very experienced). Staff are repeatedly characterized as helpful, friendly, and dedicated to older adults, and families noted that their relatives were comfortable and spoke highly of the staff. The small caseload is framed as a positive factor enabling individualized attention. Medication management is called out directly as a service provided, and reviewers appreciated the hands-on involvement of owner/staff in residents’ day-to-day well-being.

Facilities and setting: The facility is described as beautiful, new, and homelike, with a relaxed vibe. Several reviewers emphasized the rural, scenic location, including outdoor amenities such as a patio, front porch, and a creek with fishing access. The presence of animals (horses, ducks, dogs, cats) contributes to the pastoral atmosphere and is mentioned as a positive element by multiple reviewers. Although the home is rural, reviews note it is near hospitals, which mitigates concerns about access to higher-level medical care.

Services, dining, and activities: Reviewers highlight practical services that support daily life and convenience: transportation to appointments, medication management, and an in-home hairdresser. Dining is described positively — homecooked, well-balanced meals that reinforce the homelike environment. Activities mentioned are primarily nature- and community-oriented (enjoying the scenery, animals, time on the porch/patio, or creek fishing). The overall impression is of a small setting that focuses on comfort, routine, and individualized attention rather than large-scale programming.

Operations, safety, and family experience: Families appreciated the organization and responsiveness of staff; one review specifically noted COVID-19 precautions, indicating attention to safety and infection control. Multiple reviewers expressed gratitude for staff efforts and emphasized how comfortable their loved ones were, suggesting good family communication and trust in the home’s day-to-day operations. Family ownership and a small-community approach create a sense of a loving environment rather than a clinical institution.

Patterns and caveats: The reviews are uniformly positive and emphasize advantages tied to the home’s small size and family ownership. That same small scale, while praised repeatedly for personalization and attentiveness, may be an implicit consideration for prospective residents who prefer the broader services, social programming, or varied amenities of larger assisted living communities; reviewers did not describe large-group activities or specialized clinical services beyond medication management. Reviewers also emphasized the rural, scenic location; while proximity to hospitals was noted, prospective families who need frequent city amenities or public transit may want to confirm logistics. Finally, while COVID precautions were mentioned positively, no reviewer raised concerns — but policies and visitor rules can change, so families should ask about current practices.

In summary, these review summaries paint Fawn Personal Care Home as a highly rated, small, family-run personal care home delivering individualized, compassionate care in a scenic, homelike environment. Key strengths are the attentive and experienced staff, personalized attention due to a small caseload, homecooked meals, practical services (transportation, hairdresser, medication management), and a peaceful outdoor setting with animals. There are no explicit negative comments in the provided reviews; prospective families should simply verify that the small-scale, rural model fits their loved one’s social, clinical, and logistical needs before deciding.
