I toured and nearly moved in - the staff and management were friendly, responsive and went above and beyond during the transfer. The chef serves great, consistent meals, the facility is spotless and homey with plenty of activities, and the location is very convenient to my home/work. Overall it felt like a great, reasonably priced option and I'd recommend it to family and friends.

Summary of reviews
The reviews for Evergreen Assisted Living present a mixed picture: many families and visitors describe a warm, home-like environment with active programming and attentive frontline staff, while other accounts raise operational and clinical concerns that merit careful inquiry. Overall impressions range from “totally awesome” and “spotless” to reports indicating serious gaps in day-to-day operations. Prospective residents and families will find both clear strengths and notable variability to evaluate.
Care and staff: Numerous comments praise friendly, helpful caregivers and polite interactions between staff and residents. Reviewers frequently note director-level involvement, timely callbacks, and staff who go “above and beyond” for transfers and move-ins. At the same time, there are clear concerns about staffing reliability — including schedule gaps and staff no-shows — that can affect continuity of care and responsiveness. There are also serious allegations related to medication handling and financial conduct; these are significant and should be investigated directly with the provider and through regulatory checks.
Dining and activities: The facility is often commended for chef-prepared meals, varied menus, and a busy activities calendar that contributes to a home-like atmosphere. Several reviewers reported solid, consistent meals and an adequate dining room with good lighting. However, others describe inconsistent food quality and interruptions to meal service, suggesting variability in kitchen performance that families may want to confirm during a tour and sample-meal visit.
Facilities and cleanliness: Positive comments highlight bright, well-kept private rooms and pleasant grounds. Conversely, multiple reviewers reported sanitation and cleanliness issues in certain areas of the building and inconsistent housekeeping schedules. Laundry tracking and linen quality were also identified as operational weaknesses. Maintenance lapses in parts of the facility and uneven standards between units were noted; these indicate that facility upkeep may vary by area and by time.
Management and notable patterns: Management involvement and favorable move-in assistance were cited as strengths, but other reviews characterize leadership as perceived to emphasize financial goals. Communication and follow-up appear inconsistent across reviews: some families describe responsive management and an easy tour experience, while others report delayed responses and unresolved operational problems. Visibility of external signage and wayfinding was also mentioned as a minor logistical issue for visitors.
Recommendation: Evergreen appears to offer many of the attributes families look for in assisted living — engaging programming, chef-quality meals, and staff who can be highly supportive. At the same time, the facility exhibits variability in housekeeping, staffing reliability, maintenance, and medication-management controls. Before deciding, visitors should tour multiple areas (private and common), request documentation on staffing levels and medication-administration policies, sample a meal, and check state inspection records or follow up on the cited allegations. Those steps will help determine whether the facility’s strengths outweigh the operational concerns for a particular resident’s needs.
