    About Angelhaus

Angelhaus offers both assisted living and independent living, and it also provides memory care and behavioral health support for folks who need it, so you'll find people here with different needs and abilities, some who are still very independent and others who need a lot of help because of memory loss or mental health challenges, and the staff does a lot to keep everyone safe and comfortable, keeping an eye on things and working with doctors and families to make sure care plans fit each resident just right. The buildings have modern touches, like remodeled dining rooms with soft seats, cozy fireplaces, and a home-like feel in the big living rooms, and there's a peaceful garden and a gazebo outside for sitting or visiting, and the inside's got lots of open common areas where people can gather or take part in activities, plus a nursing station and several dining rooms, so it feels both lively and cared for. Residents get three meals a day that aim to taste like home, and staff help with medications, bathing, dressing, eating, and most everything a person might need if they can't do it alone, but the focus stays on letting each person do as much for themselves as possible, because keeping independence matters as much as staying safe. Angelhaus has planned activities every week-things like exercise, music, games, worship, and learning-which help people stay active in their minds and bodies, and they're always looking out for ways to help folks feel connected, whether it's group meals, socializing in the living room, or getting outdoors. Memory care here gets close attention, with security for safety and programs aimed at keeping the mind working, and there's trained, compassionate staff for dementia and Alzheimer's, so families can feel a bit steadier knowing there's proper help where it's needed most. There's a nurse on staff part-time and other specialized staff available around the clock, and residents have access to housekeeping, laundry, linen service, and regular transportation for shopping or errands, plus support for Veterans Affairs (VA) aid and insurance to help make things easier on the money side. Angelhaus handles hospice and respite care too, so some people come just for short stays when their families need a break, while others plan to stay for the long term. People can take a tour in person or virtually Monday to Friday, and special guides are available to answer questions about how things work, whether someone wants to see the Aberdeen South Building, the Huron location, or elsewhere, and in all these places, the aim is to keep things honest, homely, and filled with dignity for anyone who lives here.
