    Warm caring staff, spotless home

I toured New Hope and moved my mother in - I'm very pleased. The staff are warm, caring and treat residents like family; management is hands-on and responsive. The home is spotless, well-maintained and set on beautiful, peaceful grounds; meals are fresh and there are activities my mom can join. I highly recommend it for families seeking attentive, home-like assisted living.

    Summary of reviews

Wholehearted Care - New Hope Assisted Living is consistently described as a small, converted-house setting with a home-like atmosphere. Reviewers emphasize a clean, well-kept interior and attractive outdoor spaces including porches and wooded grounds; the facility’s residential scale and lower caregiver-to-resident ratio contribute to a family-style environment. The ownership model is family-run with owners who are often on-site and accessible, which many families cited as a benefit for direct communication and individualized attention.

Care and staff receive frequent praise: staff members are described as kind, hands-on, and attentive, and many families report individualized attention, assistance with dressing and feeding, and strong personal relationships between caregivers and residents. The presence of owners who interact with residents and help coordinate moves and care decisions is noted positively. At the same time, reviewers also identify operational gaps: staffing stability and management-communication issues are cited, along with occasional communication tone concerns and a language barrier with some staff members. A limited number of comments raised worries about medication management or the clarity of medication-related communication; prospective families should inquire about medication protocols during a tour.

Dining and activities show mixed feedback. Several families praised fresh, home-cooked meals and holiday or potluck events; others described repetitive menus or uneven meal quality. The community offers social programming (puzzles, bingo, holiday parties, cross-stitch and other group activities) and appears to foster social connection for residents who engage. However, activity participation varies by resident, and the setting does not include a dedicated dementia unit or specialized programming for residents with advanced cognitive impairment, which reduces fit for that population.

Facility features are a consistent strength: the home is kept clean and well manicured, with attractive common areas and quiet outdoor spaces. Room configurations vary — private rooms and en-suite bathrooms are available, but parts of the home include shared or smaller furnished rooms and a community shower. Security features such as door alarms are present, but there is no fenced outdoor area for unsupervised wandering. New construction and waiting lists for private rooms were mentioned, indicating demand for private accommodations.

Management and operational patterns to note include the family-owned leadership that many families value for accessibility, contrasted with occasional comments about the owner not being present and front-desk or phone responsiveness being inconsistent. Transportation options are limited; families who require regular transportation for appointments should confirm availability. Overall, New Hope appears well suited to seniors and families seeking a small, home-like assisted living with personable staff and attractive grounds. Families should evaluate clinical needs (particularly advanced dementia care), confirm medication-management practices, discuss meal preferences, and verify transportation and room-configuration options during a tour to determine fit.

About Wholehearted Care - New Hope Assisted Living

Wholehearted Care - New Hope Assisted Living gives seniors a safe and caring home-like place that covers a lot of needs, and you can see right away how much they focus on every little part of care, like help with medication, bathing, dressing, meals, and all the usual daily life things, and they make sure there's always staff around, with 24-hour supervision, nurses on-site, and caregivers ready for support any time. Residents get their own private or furnished rooms with safety features, their own bathrooms, kitchenettes, and cable TV, and the place has good internet, restaurant-style dining with healthy snacks and gluten-free options, room service, and meal prep for all kinds of special diets, even Christian faith-based programs for those who want them, which makes the meals and services feel steady and thoughtful, and folks can take part in activities like movie nights, social events, and community gatherings, which helps everyone feel part of a group. Memory care wings keep people with dementia or Alzheimer's safe from wandering and calm, and there are strong medical partnerships in place with visiting doctors and specialists for wound care, as well as nurses, podiatrists, occupational and physical therapists, and even help with diabetic and incontinence care, high acuity care, and wheelchair access. The staff handle everything from medication management to taking residents to appointments, providing laundry and housekeeping, and dry cleaning, and they work with families too, offering guest services, health education, and support to help everyone understand the care being given and what to expect, so nobody ever feels left out. The buildings and rooms have safety fixtures and disability accommodations, including emergency alert systems, and they welcome pets, so people don't have to leave behind the animals they love, and there's transportation if someone needs to go out. The community runs on a wholehearted care approach, where every plan is made just for each resident, so if someone needs memory care, nursing help, or classic assisted living, those plans are ready and staff keep adjusting them as needs change. There are continuing care services so people can stay if their needs go up, and the staff are known for being caring and the environment for staying clean and homelike. The place isn't huge-it's small and family-run, which seems to give it that warm, welcoming feeling, backed by attention to detail and a steady, calm approach to care. Everything from public living spaces, a salon/barbershop, room for social and religious activities, family outreach, and even help with moving in is on offer, and most things like housekeeping, utilities, and cable come included, so it's straightforward without surprises. Wholehearted Care - New Hope Assisted Living keeps a good rating and the feedback often mentions the blend of independence and support, the clean and homelike feel, the real involvement the staff have with residents, and the way every resident's preferences and habits are carefully respected.
