    Father happy; excellent care overall

My father is happy here. The facility is well run-dinners are good, administration is wonderful, and the staff are helpful and cheerful. The rehab program and church service are excellent, the cleaning crew is phenomenal, and overall I'm very satisfied with his care.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews reflect a mixed but distinct pattern: some families describe positive experiences with nursing, therapy, dining, housekeeping, and spiritual programming, while others raise operational and safety concerns that affected their trust in the facility. Positive comments center on helpful day-to-day caregiving, an effective short-term rehabilitation program, pleasant dinners, and available church services; a number of families specifically praised the cleaning staff and some members of the administration for being supportive.

Care quality appears variable. Several reviewers described adequate or good care โ€” particularly in the context of rehab stays โ€” but others described delays in attending to basic resident needs and uneven attention during longer stays. There is a recurring theme of fluctuating performance over time: initial interactions may be cheerful and attentive, with staff morale deteriorating later in some accounts. Staffing levels and scheduling practices are cited as a likely contributor to this variability, with reviewers indicating periods of short-staffing and high patient-to-staff ratios.

Staffing and conduct are a central concern. Positive notes about friendly, helpful staff coexist with comments about communication tone and supervisory practices that some found problematic. There are allegations of intimidating supervisory behavior by a member of nursing leadership; such claims are serious and were raised by reviewers alongside calls for regulatory attention. Reviewers also mention difficulties with responsiveness and professionalism at times, suggesting uneven staff training, oversight, or retention.

Dining and activities are generally seen as strengths. Meals were described positively by several families, and the availability of a church service and rehabilitation programming were specifically appreciated. Recreational and spiritual offerings appear to add meaningful structure for residents who engage with them.

Facility condition and housekeeping feedback is mixed. While some reviewers praised an attentive cleaning crew and generally clean rooms, others reported sanitation concerns and lapses in room and bathroom upkeep. This inconsistency suggests variability in housekeeping performance across units or shifts rather than uniformly poor facility maintenance.

Management, billing, and transparency stand out as operational weak points. Concerns include perceived misrepresentation of pricing versus actual charges, unclear expectations about room type and rent, and what reviewers characterized as poor communication from administrative leadership. Several families described frustration over billing and move-in information that differed from advertising, indicating a need for clearer contract and pricing practices.

Safety and behavioral management were also noted. Some reviewers expressed concern about how residents with challenging behaviors are managed and whether appropriate safeguards and placement decisions are in place. These comments encompass worries about on-site safety protocols and the facilityโ€™s ability to cohort residents effectively by cognitive and behavioral needs.

Overall, prospective families should weigh the facilityโ€™s strengths in rehab, meals, housekeeping (in some units), and spiritual programming against recurring operational concerns: inconsistent staffing, cleanliness variability, communication and leadership issues, pricing transparency, and behavioral-safety management. Visiting in person, asking for current staffing ratios, reviewing the written contract and charges, and discussing plans for behavioral cohorting and incident response with leadership would be prudent steps before making a placement decision.
