    Clean, safe, caring, effective care

I'm very pleased and consider this a very good choice for family care - the facility is clean and safe, staff are warm, attentive and professional, therapy/rehab produced real gains, activities are lively, and housekeeping and dining are reliable. I've seen positive changes under new leadership and feel comfortable recommending it.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a mixed but clearly polarized picture of care and operations at this facility. A substantial portion of accounts describe strong clinical and rehabilitative performance: an effective therapy team that produced measurable mobility gains, nursing and CNA staff who provide compassionate bedside care, and social-work/case-management support that keeps families informed. Housekeeping and laundry receive frequent praise for cleanliness and maintenance, and many families find the environment safe and comfortable despite an older building. Administrative leadership (including the DON/ADON and named administrators) is credited in multiple accounts with active engagement and improvements under recent ownership changes.

Dining and activities are consistently noted as strengths. Several accounts highlight warm, appetizing meals and an active, well-run activities program that includes crafts, outings, parties, and individualized engagement through an energetic activity director. These elements contribute to resident satisfaction and family confidence for many observers. The facility's therapy department is singled out repeatedly for producing rapid, positive rehabilitation outcomes and supporting residents' independence.

Counterbalancing those positives are several recurring operational concerns. Reviewers describe inconsistent staff conduct and communication: while many staff are described as polite and caring, others are characterized as rude, dismissive, or otherwise unprofessional. There are specific complaints about delays in responding to patient needs and in medication administration, which families perceive as lapses in clinical responsiveness. Transfer- and fall-prevention practices are an identified area of risk in some accounts, and a few voices report clinical-care inconsistencies that they felt required ambulance transfer or outside care.

Facility-level systems issues are also evident. A few descriptions raise sanitation and odor concerns in particular areas and point to intermittent problems with meal-service timing and service continuity. Some reviewers raise concerns about supervision and personnel conduct controls (for example, non-staff presence during shifts and interpersonal boundary issues). There are also a small number of serious individual allegations of cultural-insensitivity; these are notable and merit direct inquiry by prospective families.

For prospective residents and families: the facility shows clear strengths in rehabilitation, activities, housekeeping, and in pockets of strong leadership and nursing care. However, the pattern of polarized accounts suggests variability in staff performance and in operational consistency. Visitors should assess current staffing levels and observe mealtime and medication-response routines, ask about transfer/fall-prevention protocols, review recent quality-inspection records, and discuss how leadership addresses staff conduct and cultural-sensitivity concerns. Doing so will help determine whether the facility's strengths align with a given resident's clinical and social needs.
