    Homey caring staff and safe

I placed my mom here and have been very pleased - the place feels homey, clean, and the courtyard is lovely. Staff from CNAs to administrators (Debbie, Brandi, Trisa) are attentive, genuinely caring, and responsive, activities are creative and frequent, and the meals/chef team consistently impress. I have peace of mind knowing residents are engaged, safe, and well cared for - I'd recommend this warm, well-run small community.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a facility with many distinct strengths alongside operational vulnerabilities. Positive comments emphasize a compassionate caregiving team, a small and home-like community feel, and long-tenured managers who foster close resident relationships. Families frequently cite attentive CNAs, supportive responses during end-of-life, inclusive basic services (laundry and meals), and a social atmosphere that many residents describe as family-like.

Care and staff: Care quality impressions are mixed but lean positive when staffing and leadership are stable. Numerous accounts praise compassionate CNAs, personable med techs, and thorough RN assessments. Several long-serving managers and administrators are singled out for being responsive and personally engaged. However, there are recurrent concerns about inconsistent staffing patterns, especially on weekends and nights, and the effect of staff turnover on continuity of care. Reviewers describe delays in answering call systems and phones, and some raised clinical concerns related to medication management and fall risk; these point to gaps in clinical oversight and shift-coverage planning.

Dining and activities: Dining is frequently listed as a strength — many reviewers note tasty, chef-prepared meals, a friendly dining team, and regular menus. At the same time, other reviewers mention limited menu variety and occasional inconsistency in food quality. Activities are a clear asset when the program is staffed: families praise a creative, engaged activities director, regular outings (shopping, movies, appointments), and meaningful family events. Conversely, there are reports of periods without an activities leader and interruptions to scheduled programming, producing an uneven activity experience over time.

Facilities and maintenance: The property is described as small and intimate with generally clean interiors and pleasant common areas; the central courtyard and lobby areas are appreciated when maintained. Multiple comments, however, call out maintenance issues and uneven upkeep — examples include small apartment fit-and-finish concerns, courtyard deterioration, and isolated housekeeping lapses. Reviewers also cite occasional odor concerns and inconsistent housekeeping practices, suggesting variability in daily environmental-service routines.

Management and notable patterns: Administrative responsiveness is a mixed but important theme. Several families commend engaged administrators who are accessible and caring; others describe slow or inconsistent follow-through on maintenance, move-in assessments, and family communications. Pricing and move-in processes drew questions in some accounts (move-in fees and assessment timing). Overall the pattern is polarized: many residents and families express satisfaction and recommend the community, while others report operational gaps that affect safety and quality of life. Prospective families should ask about current staffing ratios (including weekend and night coverage), medication-safety protocols, housekeeping schedules, activity staffing continuity, and recent inspection or complaint records to confirm that the strengths cited are consistently in place.

With amenities like cozy common areas, a therapy center, an on-site pharmacy, and spacious gardens, the environment feels warm and home-like. Staff are on site every day, using a hands-on approach and a family-focused attitude, and they keep the resident-to-staff ratio low, which means each person gets more personalized attention.
