    Moved my mother extremely pleased

I moved my mother here after a poor stay elsewhere and I'm very pleased. The staff are professional, kind, attentive and receptive to feedback; the facility is spotless, bright, peaceful and healthy, meals are delicious, and family involvement is required in a warm, family-oriented atmosphere.

    About New Hope Senior Care

New Hope Senior Care, sitting quietly in Kent, WA at 20912 118th Pl SE, is a small adult family home that houses up to 6 residents in private rooms with private baths, offering the sort of relaxed and homey environment a lot of people seem to prefer over larger, more crowded facilities, and you can see the owners, Tesfaye Zewdu and Hiwotie Eneyew, BSN, run the place with a real focus on kindness, organization, and working closely with families. The staff stays on site and alert 24 hours a day-you'll always see someone ready to help with personal care needs like bathing, grooming, walking, and medication reminders, and there's always an RN on call plus regular visits from a doctor to help if something unexpected happens. Seniors here get help tailored to what they need each day, including assisted living, memory care, and special attention for dementia or Alzheimer's, and there's good support for residents living with developmental or mental health concerns.

Residents eat home-cooked meals and snacks in a dining area or family room that's bright, cheerful, and full of natural light, and people with kosher diets or special dietary concerns will get what suits them best, plus meals focus on being nutritious. The group offers both independent and assisted living arrangements, supporting seniors who want to age in place with support for things like blood glucose checks, wound management, and occupational or physical therapy if it's needed, and those using wheelchairs or walkers will find everything is accessible. Daily life has outings into the community as well as on-site games, arts and crafts, tea time, movies, and religious services, so folks don't sit alone if they don't want to, and there are gardens and accessible outdoor spaces for anyone who likes the fresh air.

There's a strong sense of safety here-alarm systems, secure grounds for Alzheimer's or dementia, emergency call buttons in every room-and the facility follows state licensing rules strictly, only accepting male residents but caring for women, with a good record keeping residents healthy, active, and happy, according to those who've left reviews. Residents can use internet and telephone services, watch cable or satellite TV, and visitors can drop by from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. The home stays close to Valley Medical Hospital and the freeway in case of emergency or doctor's visits, and there's free transportation for appointments or community trips, which makes things easier. Housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and beautician services are included, and people can even bring pets if that's important. While the place may not be fancy, it's quiet, friendly, and focused on dignity, respect, and real compassion, with care plans made for each resident and the hope that everyone feels comfortable and cared for in a real home, not an institution.
