    Caring home-like attentive supportive staff

My mother has been here for months and I'm very pleased - the small, home-like setting is clean and nurturing and the staff (owners included) are loving, attentive, and well-suited to caregiving. Meals are fresh and made-to-order, there are plenty of activities and outings, and they provide 24-hour care, meds, laundry and regular room cleaning. We felt supported through care changes and end-of-life needs; my mom is comfortable and happy, and I'm grateful.

    Summary of reviews

Best Care Manor is described overall as a small, family-style assisted living option with strengths in caregiving, mealtime service, and social programming. Many families emphasized the facility’s nurturing, home-like atmosphere and named staff members as warm, attentive, and supportive. Reviewers consistently cited 24-hour attention, on-time medication administration, regular room cleaning and daily laundry, and hands-on support through care changes including end-of-life transitions.

Dining and activities are frequent highlights. Meals are characterized as fresh and made-to-order with attention to nutrition; several accounts describe positive appetite changes after admission. The home offers a variety of activities, social interaction opportunities, and outings or walks, which reviewers said helped residents stay engaged. Visitors are welcome and families described a friendly, family-oriented environment that encourages involvement.

Operational and facility limitations recur in the feedback. Accessibility is a notable concern for mobility-impaired residents — features such as grab bars, tub access, and wheelchair-friendly pathways are limited or would require outside assistance. Exterior and site issues (narrow sidewalks, parking difficulty, and visible clutter) were also mentioned and may affect arrival and mobility. Cleanliness impressions are mixed: some reviewers describe a well-kept interior, while others cited clutter or sanitation concerns in certain areas, suggesting inconsistency in environmental maintenance.

Cost and management transparency are other recurring themes. Several families found the cost higher than prior subsidized housing and questioned the value relative to price; there were instances where the in-person price differed from an initial phone quote, indicating room for clearer pricing communication. A few comments point to variable responsiveness on specific service elements (snack availability, weekly paperwork processing), which suggests occasional gaps in ancillary-service consistency rather than core clinical care.

In sum, Best Care Manor appears to offer strong interpersonal care, engaging meals and activities, and a small, family-oriented setting that many families find comforting. Prospective residents with mobility or higher equipment needs should evaluate accessibility carefully, and families should seek clear, written pricing and service details to address questions about cost and ancillary services. The overall pattern is one of solid caregiving strengths paired with some operational areas that may require clarification or improvement depending on an individual resident’s needs.

    About Best Care Manor

Best Care Manor sits in a quiet Shoreline, WA neighborhood at 18519 Stone Ave N, and offers a safe place for seniors who need care or help with daily life, and while it provides both private and shared rooms that come furnished, there's always a cozy touch to the spaces, and the common living rooms and dining rooms are set up for people to spend time together or relax. The staff keeps someone on-site 24/7, so when seniors need help, it's there-whether it's with getting dressed, managing medicine, or dealing with more serious care like diabetes, dementia, or incontinence, and there's always a nurse on call.

Every caregiver at Best Care Manor is certified and trained under DSHS rules, so residents get the right care, and they can make a plan that fits their needs, whether they stay long-term or just for respite when family caregivers need a break. The staff also handles daily chores like cleaning and laundry, while serving meals and healthy snacks, with special attention to diets and nutrition. There's a full list of social events-bingo, scrabble, game nights, karaoke, movie nights, afternoon tea, and sometimes outings to the swimming pool, so it feels busy and lively if you want to join in. The activities coordinator also arranges for therapy visits with children or pets, and if you need a ride to the shops, a medical appointment, or even just out to a library or the bank, transportation's on hand, thanks to the management office that keeps things organized.

Amenities include things you'd expect, like a hair salon, an outdoor patio, an outdoor pool, cable TV in rooms, public living areas, and Wi-Fi, and there are accessible spaces for those who want to be part of a small, close-knit group instead of a big, busy facility, with several care homes nearby under names like Happy Family Adult Family Home 2, Gold Autumn AFH, and Home Again AFH. Memory care has its own systems meant to keep people from getting confused or lost, and for those with health needs, the staff helps with high acuity care and medication. Reviews for Best Care Manor average about 4.6 stars, with people saying the staff are kind and helpful. The place works with families, helps compare care options, and tries to offer support that feels personal in every way, so folks get both help and company, close to shops, parks, and medical centers.
