    Impressed by warm, attentive staff

I toured this beautiful, brand-new Spokane Valley community with my dad and we were both impressed - gorgeous, thoughtfully designed spaces, lovely courtyard, library with a fireplace, great dining and lots of activities. The Fields team (Robert, Marnie, Darlene and others) are genuinely kind, professional and went above and beyond during the tour and move-in; my dad felt at home right away. Responsive management, excellent care and a warm, family-run atmosphere - I would recommend this community for quality senior living.

    Summary of reviews

Fields Senior Living at Spokane Valley is widely described as a visually striking, newly built community with resort-style finishes and a broad array of on-site amenities. Reviewers consistently praise the facility’s design, multiple activity spaces (theater, gym, spa, library with fireplace, card and billiard rooms), comfortable common areas, and outdoor courtyard. The physical environment and ancillary services — including a beauty salon, private family dining room, daily social events such as happy hour, and transportation/pickup options — are frequently cited as strengths that support resident engagement and independence.

Care and frontline staff receive substantial positive feedback for compassion and attentiveness. Many families single out individual staff and managers by name for exceptional support during touring and move-in, and several accounts emphasize a family-like atmosphere and staff willingness to go beyond routine duties. The presence of a 24/7 nurse on staff and proximity to urgent-care services are additional clinical supports that reviewers note as reassuring for safety and medical access.

At the same time, a recurring pattern across reviews raises operational concerns. High staff turnover and variable staff continuity emerge as consistent themes; reviewers link turnover to inconsistent service experiences, variable training/experience among aides, and pressure on remaining staff. Several reviewers describe a perceived decline in meal quality and interruptions in meal-service continuity, and there are multiple comments indicating housekeeping and cleanliness inconsistencies. Communication gaps between management and families, uneven responsiveness to feedback, and questions about organizational culture following ownership or leadership changes are also reported.

A small but significant subset of reviews describes serious disputes and legal/eviction-related complaints; these are distinct from routine service issues and have been characterized by reviewers as requiring careful scrutiny. While most families describe excellent experiences, these more serious allegations have contributed to trust concerns for some prospective residents and relatives.

For prospective residents and family decision-makers, the overall picture suggests a community with strong physical amenities and many dedicated caregivers, balanced against operational risks tied to staffing stability, dining and housekeeping consistency, and management practices. When evaluating the community, consider in-person checks of staffing levels and consistency (ask for turnover metrics and staff tenure), observe a mealtime, request housekeeping schedules and sanitation protocols, review recent inspection reports or compliance history, ask about grievance and eviction policies, and speak with current residents and family members about recent changes. These steps will help clarify whether the community’s substantial facility strengths are matched by stable, reliable day-to-day operations and communication practices.

About Fields Senior Living at Spokane Valley

Fields Senior Living at Spokane Valley sits at 16512 E Desmet Court in a quiet spot of Spokane Valley, WA, and folks say the location stays peaceful but close to shops, services, and things to do. The place offers several apartment choices like studios, suites, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom spaces, with sizes running anywhere from 280 to 950 square feet, so whether someone wants something simpler or prefers a bit more room, there are different floor plans to look at, all with private bathrooms and in-room kitchenettes for comfort and privacy, and for the folks who prefer to have a neighbor nearby, there are neighbor suites available, especially in memory care. The whole place, indoors and outdoors, tries to be easy to get around with safety in mind, and the team tries to keep things comfortable day and night, making sure staff is always around to help out twenty-four hours a day.

Fields Senior Living covers independent living, assisted living, and memory care, and people who need a little extra help with things like daily activities or special care for memory loss get that support from a team described as kind, helpful, and always around, and folks mention that Dustin and Melissa Fields manage things themselves since the whole operation is family-owned and has that sort of community feeling where people get to know each other. There's respite care for families and short stays, too. Social life comes easy with club rooms and recreation rooms, chances for crafts or lifelong learning, and church or spiritual programs, and a recreation room plus outside patios and gardens let folks spend time chatting or relaxing, with pets welcome in many parts of the community, including a special spot for pets called Charlie's Backyard.

Meals matter here, so people sit down for three chef-inspired meals every day, made to order using fresh and seasonal ingredients, which means there's always something balanced and tasty, and if someone has a dietary need, the food's usually planned around that. Housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance get handled by the on-site team, and there's help with errands, appointments, and shopping since the community offers scheduled transportation and a concierge service, so residents don't have to worry about getting around on their own. For personal care, an in-house salon and barber shop make it easy for residents to get haircuts and grooming done without going far.

Fields Senior Living got noticed for its good reviews and has a review score of 7.0 from families and residents, and it picked up the Best of Senior Living Award for having over twenty-five reviews during 2024 and keeping high standards for care. The community is licensed by the state, has Wi-Fi and high-speed internet throughout the building, and everything is handicap accessible, with staff trained specifically for both physical and memory care needs so people feel supported whatever their situation, and a focus on wellness and staying active with physical activities and programs to keep everyone involved. The whole place is known for being friendly and joyful-people say the staff stays cheerful, residents are treated with respect, and visitors feel welcomed. The goal is to keep life simple, comfortable, and secure for older adults, no matter how much help they want or need. Tours are available for anyone who wants to see what daily life and amenities look like before making a choice.
