    Warm compassionate staff impeccable care

I placed my mom here and have been very pleased. Terri and the warm, compassionate staff treated residents like family-sharing meals, taking drives for burgers and ice cream, and keeping my mom impeccably dressed and cared for. The home is immaculate, peaceful, and welcoming with comfortable, appropriate rooms. Care was attentive and sincere and the transition was smooth. I recommend this very good community.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment: The review summaries portray Terri Care Adult Family Home very positively. Multiple reviewers emphasize exceptional, first-rate care and repeatedly highlight the staffโ€™s compassion, calm demeanor, and sincerity. The consistent tone across reviews is one of trust and satisfaction; reviewers describe staff and caregivers as lovely, warm, and welcoming and say residents are treated like family or "angels." Several comments rise to strong endorsement levels, including "highly recommend" and "best community."

Care quality and staff: Care quality is the dominant theme. Reviewers note attentive, top-level attention to residentsโ€™ needs and personal dignity. Specific anecdotes underline this: family meals shared with staff, outings and drives for simple pleasures like burgers and ice cream, and remarks that a resident "looked and smelled like a million bucks" and wore a clean, pressed coordinated outfit. Those comments point to both physical care (cleanliness, grooming, appropriate clothing) and emotional care (social inclusion, pleasant outings). The owner/provider figure, Terri, is mentioned as sharing her family and creating a familial culture โ€” reviewers attribute a personal, hands-on atmosphere to management. Transition experiences are also highlighted positively: families describe moves in as smooth and well-supported.

Facilities and environment: The home itself is described as immaculate, peaceful, and comfortable. Reviewers use words like "warm," "welcoming," "homelike," and "immaculate interior," and they specifically call out appropriate and very good rooms. Cleanliness and a maintained, pleasant living environment are recurring specifics, reinforcing the sense of a high-quality, small-home setting rather than an institutional atmosphere.

Social life, dining, and activities: Social interaction and family-style dining are strong positives. Reviewers value the social, homelike atmosphere and note organized shared meals and casual outings. The outings mentioned (drives for burgers and ice cream) illustrate a focus on personalized, small-group activities that support residentsโ€™ enjoyment and normalcy. That said, reviewers consistently note a limitation: because the facility provides memory care, there are "not many activities" available. This is framed as a constraint tied to the resident population rather than a criticism of staff effort, but it is the primary negative/theme that recurs in the summaries.

Patterns, recommendations, and caveats: The most notable pattern is uniform praise across multiple dimensions: staff demeanor and caregiving, cleanliness, personalized attention, and a family-like culture fostered by leadership. The single clear caveat is limited activity offerings owing to the memory care context; prospective families should understand that programming may be quieter or more limited than in facilities focused on more active senior communities. Overall, reviewers highly recommend Terri Care Adult Family Home for families seeking compassionate, personalized memory care in a clean, homelike setting where staff prioritize residentsโ€™ dignity and comfort.

Terri Care Adult Family Home sits in the quiet Spokane Valley neighborhood, surrounded by mountain views and peaceful, tree-lined streets, and folks have said the home feels warm and welcoming, with indoor and outdoor common areas where residents can gather and spend time together or have some quiet when they need it. The home's got three licensed beds and offers a mix of private rooms-including a 1-bedroom option-and provides a good setting for seniors who want the sense of community you find in a smaller residential care home setting, all with resort-style touches like chef-prepared meals that meet dietary needs, art classes, movie nights, outings, and exercise programs, plus devotional services both onsite and offsite.

Staff at Terri Care Adult Family Home provide 24-hour care and help with tasks like bathing, grooming, medication reminders, and personal care, and for families worrying about memory issues, the home's got a special focus on Alzheimer's and dementia care, providing memory care services-from wandering prevention and memory-focused activities to a secure environment set up to help reduce confusion. Therapy services are available too, like speech, physical, and occupational therapy, and a nurse and a podiatrist come by regularly, so residents can get some of their care needs met at home. There's also a handy emergency call system, so folks can get help day or night.

Residents can stay for respite care if their main caregivers need a short break, and the home can adjust care levels as needs change, so folks can age in place as things evolve, even if hospice support becomes needed. Help with laundry, housekeeping, and linen changes gets provided, and the property's pet-friendly, so folks don't have to give up animal companions. Transportation helps residents get to doctor appointments and errands, and the home is close to community amenities and has landscaped outdoor areas for fresh air and walks.

There's a verified review process and the facility's rated as excellent, with families saying the staff are well trained, dedicated, and treat residents like individuals, making plans around each person's needs, especially for those with memory challenges, whether it's Alzheimer's or other types of dementia. Published prices are available, and families can ask for more details or talk with a local advisor for help sorting out care options. The home operates with set business and visiting hours, and all services are focused around helping residents feel comfortable, safe, and supported in everyday living.
