Ella Besaw Center

Ella Besaw Center is a small facility that sits within the Mohican Nation's community and has a focus on seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia, which means there's always 24-hour support and security for those who may need extra supervision or medical care, and a licensed staff team helps with daily activities like bathing, getting dressed, medication, and meals, with private and semi-private rooms available for up to 8 residents at a time. Residents have access to many services, ranging from skilled nursing and wound care to rehabilitation, and there are memory care programs that use special activities and events to support memory and mental health. The Center has unique places such as the Arvid E. Miller Library/Museum, which gives a chance to explore Mohican Nation history and language, and there are reading rooms and recreation spaces where people can join in art, fitness, music, pet therapy, and games, with scheduled events each day like movies and group activities to keep folks active and socially connected.
