    Spotless, homey facility with compassion

I've had a very positive experience - the facility is spotlessly clean, homey, and set in a peaceful country setting with shaded walkways. The staff are friendly, caring, and easy to talk with; rooms are nice (you can bring your own furniture) and common areas like the dining room, board-games room and family visiting space are inviting. Cats on site add warmth and there are simple activities like bingo - overall excellent care and compassion.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviewers describe Wells Nature View CBR F as a small, home-like facility in a quiet country setting with generally friendly and compassionate staff. Common positives include a clean appearance, easy staff communication, and an atmosphere that allows personalization of resident rooms. The setting includes outdoor shaded seating, a perimeter walkway, and dedicated common spaces such as a board games room and family visiting area that support casual social interaction.

Care and staff: Many comments emphasize helpful, approachable caregivers and an overall compassionate approach to resident needs. Staff are characterized as amenable and easy to speak with, contributing to a homey atmosphere. At the same time, there are recurring operational concerns about clinical responsiveness and oversight; reviewers referenced delays or gaps in clinical attention and communication, and one described significant concerns following a resident's death. These comments suggest the facility may have variability in how promptly and consistently clinical issues are identified and communicated to families.

Dining and activities: The dining area is described as adequately sized and inviting. Activity-related offerings are mixed: there are communal options such as bingo (supplemented by donated items) and a dedicated games room, which some residents enjoy. However, reviewers also note limited activity programming overall and that residents can end up spending much of their time in their rooms. Families seeking a robust, varied activity schedule should clarify the current programming and participation levels.

Facilities and accommodations: The facility is consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with a home-like interior and the ability for residents to bring personal furniture. Outdoor features — shaded seating and a walking path — are positives for mobility and visitation. Physical limitations include generally small resident rooms and a relatively small living-room/common area footprint, which may feel cramped for residents or visitors used to larger communal spaces.

Pets and environment: Pets are present on site and are a clear benefit for many residents, with cats and dogs described as sources of happiness and a home-like feel. Reviewers who are not pet-preferring noted shedding and potential allergy or cleanliness impacts. Prospective residents with sensitivities should discuss pet policies and cleaning routines.

Management, costs, and notable patterns: Families describe staff as friendly and accessible, but also raise concerns about room assignments and transfer practices; some accounts describe involuntary or abrupt moves and roommate placement issues. Cost is another theme — out-of-pocket expenses were noted as a burden for at least one family, so clarity on fees and what is covered is important. In sum, Wells Nature View CBR F appears to offer a warm, clean, small-facility environment with caring staff and pet-friendly amenities, balanced by operational considerations around room size, activity breadth, clinical responsiveness, roommate/transfer policies, and cost transparency. Prospective residents and families should tour the facility, ask specific questions about clinical staffing and incident response, review activity schedules, and confirm financial and roommate/transfer policies before committing.

About Wells Nature View CBR F's

Wells Nature View CBR F's sits on South Adams Avenue in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and works as a community-based residential facility for older adults and people with disabilities, where you'll find suite-style living that comes in the form of private, semi-private, and fully furnished apartments, and folks can choose whether to have their own furniture or use what's provided, and there's a focus on keeping the place home-like instead of feeling like an institution, with sunrooms looking out on bird and flower gardens, places to gather with family, and a large living room with a two-way fireplace that warms both the living area and the library-sitting space right next to it, plus country-style dining rooms where residents enjoy home-cooked meals together. Wells Nature View CBR F's supports those who need help with daily living, whether it's bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers, medication management, health monitoring, or just someone to be there and check in each day, and services stretch from basic support to assisted living with skilled nursing hours up to three a week, though more can happen with special permissions, making this a flexible place for people at many stages who maybe don't want to leave as their needs increase. Residents can bring pets, enjoy indoor parking, and use the building's features that make getting around easier, such as handicap accessibility, a 24-hour call system, and continual supervision, so safety and ease stay a main concern. The facility is licensed as Class C unrestricted, which means it can help wheelchair users or people who need extra assistance, and there's special programming in memory care for folks with Alzheimer's and dementia, with secured areas and daily activities that are set up to help keep memories strong and give purpose to the day, alongside classes for healthy living, mental wellness programs, and support for caregivers. There's a strong thread of community engagement, partly through links to programs like CAMP EPIC, LLC, daily scheduled activities, classes, and help connecting to outside resources. Meals for seniors, benefits support, equipment lending, and transportation help-both for daily needs and medical appointments-are part of the regular offer, along with spiritual activities and visits to nearby places of worship. Wells Nature View CBR F's can house about 20 residents and works as both an assisted living and memory care service, with board and care homes for those who prefer a smaller setup and as part of a wider retirement community supporting aging in place, all while handling independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing, including wound care and rehabilitation, which means it can cover a full range of care as someone's situation changes. The payment options include IRIS, Managed Care, private pay, and some financial help like Community Options Program (COP) and Family Care via county Aging & Disability Resource Centers, though the facility isn't subsidized and does sometimes ask for application or entrance fees depending on the payment plan. The staff works to give care that's tailored, focusing on dignity, independence, and engagement with nature, where people can decorate their spaces to their likes, take part in regular activities, enjoy garden spaces, and experience the outdoors in safety, and the houses can be old renovated homes or new constructions, all aiming for warmth and comfort. The reviews say Wells Nature View CBR F's is well liked, and the setup, which isn't too big but has a good range of services, fits those who want to be part of a small, supportive, and nature-connected community in Marshfield.
