    Homey community with personalized care

I stayed for a respite stay and appreciated the small, clean, homey community and the personal relationships I formed with staff. They were available and accommodating - my diet needs were met with a personalized, varied menu I enjoyed; on-site activities, outings, family calendar updates, and hair/nail services kept me engaged and I noticed my health improving, so I would recommend this community.

About Main Street Senior Living of Oregon

Main Street Senior Living of Oregon sits in Oregon, Wisconsin, as a medium-sized 20-bed senior community that focuses on comfort, support, and safety in a setting that feels like home, and the staff there really care about each resident, showing kindness, joy, and helpfulness to everyone including visitors and each other, plus you'll notice their leadership team led by Executive Director Mary Davidson really puts in the effort to make life here both easy and meaningful for people who are getting older and want to make some good memories without the fuss of everyday chores, and not only do the rooms come furnished with cable, WiFi, and telephones, but there are kitchenettes, fully furnished options, and even studio layouts so each person can find something that fits, and if you choose Main Street Senior Living, you'll find things like wheelchair accessible showers in the bathrooms, plus lots of amenities like a beauty salon, indoor and outdoor spaces to walk or sit, and even outdoor gardens, all meant to make getting around and finding a comfortable spot simple, and for those who need help with things like bathing, dressing, medications, or moving safely, caregivers are trained to help with both day-to-day activities and more involved medical needs, including skilled nursing support, diabetic care, wound care, and even hospice when needed, so care needs can adjust as needs change, which means people can often age in place here.

Memory care at Main Street Senior Living is designed for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other memory issues and there are special programs and spaces that help people stay safe, keep a routine, and have support around the clock if they get confused or tend to wander, which can really give families some peace, and for those who need just a short-term stay, maybe when family caregivers need a break, there's respite care available too, with all the regular care and meals included, and the community also covers independent living for those who want more freedom but still want some help with things like housekeeping, meals, and transportation, plus maintenance-free living which just lets you focus on doing things you want instead of chores.

Meals here are prepared with attention to nutrition, with vegetarian choices and snacks that support health, and they pay attention to special diets and food preferences, so residents can look forward to eating well every day, and there are always social activities on the calendar, with things like bingo, trivia, TV watching parties, sing-alongs, and live music making it easy for residents to connect with others, whether you're social or just want a quiet afternoon in the garden or reading a book, and faith services plus a variety of offsite and onsite events also help people stay engaged.

Therapists come to the community to provide speech and physical therapy for people who need extra help and there's coordination with healthcare providers, with regular medication management and support if someone can't manage things alone anymore, plus the staff keeps a careful watch for anyone who could be unsafe or needs special attention, and you'll also see thoughtful pet care, scheduled transportation (which residents or families can arrange for a cost), and plenty of parking if visitors want to stop by, so it's a good spot if having friends and family close matters.

While the facility is currently under renovation, with new upgrades and refreshed community spaces expected to be ready by spring 2025, they're offering scheduled hard hat tours for anyone who wants to see the progress, and they're still open to new residents, and daily living here means you get regular housekeeping, linens taken care of, and a friendly team ready to help with whatever's needed, big or small, and the atmosphere stays welcoming, secure, and as home-like as possible, so it's a calm and connected spot for seniors who want continuing care in a close-knit setting.
