Gray's Nursing Home

Gray's Nursing Home, found at 555 South Chestnut Street in Platteville, WI 53818, gave seniors a place where they could get independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing care, home care, and short-term respite care, so a person could come in needing just a little help or might have needed round-the-clock nursing and medical care, and the place tried to adjust for everything in between, and the whole idea was to offer care as people needed it, which meant help with things like dressing or bathing for some and much closer medical attention for others, especially for those with dementia or Alzheimer's, where the staff at the memory care area provided support meant exactly for what those residents were going through day by day, and if someone wanted to keep living more independently, Gray's Nursing Home had apartments and services like meals, housekeeping, laundry, and even pet-friendly policies, and if someone was just needing a short stay because their family took a break, there were respite options as well, and besides care, the community had things like a general store, library, on-site therapy, and a 24-hour security setup, so there was always someone around, with nurses and aides working all times of the day and night and the living spaces set up for safety and comfort, and for those using wheelchairs or needing special clothes, there were pants and tops with elastic waists or open sides, making dressing easier, and folks could get help with dressing or use the clothing themselves if they preferred, and the meals came once or twice a day depending on what was chosen, and there were activities and wellness programs, but even with all that, it was good to remember that Gray's Nursing Home closed at some point and isn't open anymore.
