    Loving staff beautiful new facility

I placed my mom here and it was life-changing - the staff are loving, attentive, and treated her like family, and Tracey clearly supports a compassionate, professional team. The facility is new, impeccably maintained with beautiful gardens, spacious studio-style rooms, home-cooked meals and engaging activities; hospice care was handled with dignity. I'm very pleased and would highly recommend this warm, family-oriented community.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Serenity Villa projects a strongly positive care environment characterized by compassionate, family‑oriented caregiving, a well‑maintained facility and visible managerial involvement. Families consistently describe caregivers as attentive and affectionate; several accounts emphasize effective hospice and end‑of‑life support and note that staff often become close to residents and families. The property is described as clean and recently updated, with attractive landscaping, patios and spacious apartment‑style rooms that contribute to a homelike atmosphere.

Care and staff: Care quality is a prominent strength. Reviewers highlight consistent, dignified care, good clinical coordination and a sense of trust in nursing and caregiving teams. Management and the director are frequently cited as supportive and engaged in resident transitions and family communication. At the same time, there are operational concerns around staffing: availability and ratios are described as variable, and some families expressed the need for additional staff training and more consistent interpersonal conduct. These issues appear to be intermittent rather than systemic but are worth addressing when touring or asking about current staffing levels.

Dining and activities: Dining is generally well regarded—residents and families mention an on‑site cook, home‑style meals and balanced menus. The facility runs an active calendar with events such as bingo, carnivals and outings; reviewers also praise social interaction and large communal spaces. However, activity frequency and variety are sometimes described as inconsistent, with a few families wishing for more programming. Prospective residents should review current activity schedules to confirm offerings match personal preferences.

Facilities and safety: The physical plant is presented as a strength: newer, clean rooms, open‑concept common areas and secure memory‑care accommodations with locked access. Outdoor spaces and gardens are consistently praised. Practical considerations raised by families include highway noise at certain units and occasional limitations on available rooms—capacity can be constrained. Location and transportation convenience were noted as less suitable for some families.

Management and notable patterns: Management involvement and clear communication are recurring positives; reviewers recount smooth move‑ins and collaborative care planning. The facility earns frequent recommendations, and many families express high satisfaction with emotional support and the way staff engage residents. Areas to explore during a visit include current staffing ratios and training programs, the activity calendar, room availability, and strategies the facility uses to mitigate external noise.

Bottom line: Serenity Villa appears to offer a warm, well‑kept, clinically capable assisted‑living environment with strong hospice support and an engaged staff culture. Prospective residents and families will likely find the facility’s strengths in caregiving, dining and setting compelling, while those for whom activity density, staffing consistency, noise levels or location are critical should verify those operational details during a tour.

Serenity Villa Assisted Living is located at 1707 American Eagle Dr, Slinger, WI, 53086.

    About Serenity Villa Assisted Living

Serenity Villa Assisted Living sits in Slinger, Wisconsin, and has served the area since 2009 with 26 assisted living units, offering care in a community-based setting licensed under Wisconsin license #13745 and #0015363, and with several locations that include Serenity Villa II, Serenity Villa III, and Serenity Villa IV in Slinger and Campbellsport. Folks can choose private, semi-private, or one-bedroom spaces, and some even have kitchenettes, so residents have a bit of choice in how they'd like to live. The staff includes nurses, trained caregivers, certified nursing assistants, and a full-time RN manager who all help with daily living activities, like bathing, dressing, medication management, and offer hands-on care with things like manual feeding, moving help, and scheduled bathroom reminders. The community also works with residents who live with conditions like Parkinson's, diabetes, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease, and has secured memory care units with alarms and security to help residents stay safe.

There are many things to do at Serenity Villa, with on-site programs led by full-time activity directors, including arts and crafts, movie nights in the theater, games, field trips, fitness activities, and offsite outings, so there's no shortage of ways to stay busy or interact with others. Folks can find spaces to meet, like a garden and courtyard, chapel for devotional services, a barber and beauty shop, and rooms big enough for family gatherings, and shared or private areas give people room to feel at home. All meals come chef-prepared with help from meal planners who focus on a balanced diet, with three daily meals served and special dining programs available so that everyone can find something they enjoy. Housekeeping and personal laundry services are handled by staff, and weekly cleaning comes with the room, with medication supervision and pharmacy services included too.

Residents also get help with medical needs, such as memory care, in-home hospice, skilled nursing, physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, diabetic care, incontinence care, and non-ambulatory support. There's also a 24/7 care team on site, which means help is around whenever needed, with a nurse on staff for chronic condition management, and the community can provide manual feeding and mobility help for those who need it. Community life is active, with devotional activities and wellness programs, and accessible features make social life easier, like computer access, walking paths, a game room, and transportation to appointments or shopping. The place has a friendly staff and culture where folks say people are helpful and kind, and the setup supports seniors to keep as much independence as they can while offering peace of mind to families. Serenity Villa doesn't accept Medicare since it's not certified through CMS, but all care and services follow state and local rules under its community-based residential facility license. The community's focus is on supporting seniors in a secure, nurturing place where they can keep their dignity, meet with friends or family, and get the care they need as they age.
