      Attentive clean modern family-focused care

I placed my mom here and I'm very satisfied - the hands-on owner and kind, knowledgeable caregivers are attentive to individual needs, medications are well monitored, and meals are nutritious. The facility is modern, bright, spotless, and feels like a loving, resident-focused home with birthday celebrations and is conveniently close to family. I would definitely recommend this place.

About A High Tower Adult Family Home

A High Tower Adult Family Home sits in Burien, WA and provides a safe place for up to six residents with private rooms for each, though some baths can be shared, and people living here get 24-hour care from caregivers who keep an eye on medicines, help with things like bathing and dressing, and make sure folks feel at home with good meals, high-speed internet, and rides or parking when needed. The facility welcomes people right away who use Medicaid, Medicaid spend-down, or VA payments, plus it allows pets and is LGBT+ friendly, making it open to different backgrounds and situations, and owners are registered nurses who live on site, which helps with hands-on attention from folks who know what's needed. The licensed care covers many needs-respite care, hospice care, and support for behavioral health, mental health, Parkinson's disease, development disabilities, dementia, and traumatic brain injury, using equipment like 2 Person Transfers and Hoyer Lifts if required, so that people with physical challenges or medical equipment needs can stay safely. High Tower Afh, LLC has a small team and a low resident-to-caregiver ratio, so staff can offer memory care, medication help, and activities in a setting that feels much more like a family home with big windows and light-filled spaces than a hospital, and there are birthday parties, daily activities to keep minds sharp and bodies moving, and social programs for community. There's a focus on personal care and understanding, paying attention to each person's story and what makes them comfortable, and the home supports expanded community services, meaningful day programs, and partners with state agencies like DSHS. The facility, operating since late 2022 with two governors, is back in active status, keeps everything licensed, and runs under the rules of Washington State, so everything's above board. Staff monitor insulin for those who need it and can support trach care too, plus they help folks with development disabilities or dementia; the home environment stays calm, supportive, and welcoming to everyone, creating a loving place for both short-term and long-term stays. Meals are planned by cooks to be both nutritious and tasty, owners and staff care about details, and there's an effort to balance alone time in cozy private rooms with group time in cheerful, communal areas, all of which aim to help seniors or adults enjoy their days with respect, comfort, and as much independence as possible.
