    Caring home with attentive staff

I moved my father here and I'm very pleased - the place truly feels like home with 24-hour, patient care from a loving owner and attentive staff. Rooms are clean and a good size, the home is lively with friendly dogs and engaging activities (reading, movies, games, parties), and communication, transportation help and hospice coordination have all been excellent. The on-site owner's mother and close proximity to our Whatcom County home made the decision easier, and the staff made the transition smooth. I'm grateful for their caring, hardworking team and would recommend this home.

    Summary of reviews

Prime Choice AFH, LLC presents as a small, family-oriented adult family home with consistently emphasized strengths around hands-on caregiving and cleanliness. Reviewers commonly described staff as caring, attentive, and patient; several families noted the team handled residents with challenging behaviors calmly and professionally. The facility offers 24-hour care and has been described as supportive with transitions and end-of-life coordination, including hospice communication. These operational features point to a practice that prioritizes direct resident support and continuity of care.

Staffing and management receive positive attention. The owner is actively involved on-site, and that presence appears to support good communication with families and a personal approach to care. Several families described smooth move-ins and positive interactions during initial meetings; others highlighted that the on-site family presence contributes to a home-like atmosphere. Staff are credited with organizing and facilitating social programming — birthday parties, holiday celebrations, reading groups, movies and games — which reviewers described as fostering a lively, social environment and helping residents feel settled.

Facilities are frequently described as very clean, with reviewers using terms like "spotlessly clean" and noting a fresh scent. Rooms were characterized as nice and appropriately sized. At the same time, multiple comments indicate the interior is dated, and the floor plan can be confusing to navigate; prospective residents should expect an older-style home rather than a recently modernized facility. The property is pet-friendly and family-like, which many reviewers saw as a positive, but the physical layout and aesthetics may not match every family's expectations.

There is limited direct information about dining quality, menus, or nutrition from the available comments. Prospective families should request details about meal planning, dietary accommodations, and sample menus during a visit. Transportation assistance is offered and viewed positively by families who valued help getting to appointments and errands.

Location and fit are notable themes. The home sits in a quiet, convenient area near a bus stop and a high school, which made it appealing for some families; however, others found the location less suitable. Likewise, while many reviewers recommended the facility as a permanent home, a few felt it was not the right fit for their particular family member. In practice, this suggests a generally positive, personal-care environment that can be an excellent match for residents seeking a small, attentive, home-like setting, but families should evaluate compatibility with layout, decor, and neighborhood preferences during a visit.

    About Prime Choice AFH, LLC

Prime Choice AFH, LLC sits in NE Seattle at 2723-C NE 110th St, close to cafes, parks, pharmacies, hospitals, and restaurants, which means people living there get quick access to things they might need and easy choices for outings or appointments, plus transportation services are available for a small fee, making things easier if someone needs a ride to the doctor or grocery store, which helps families breathe easier too. It's a licensed, verified adult family home that people have rated 4.5 stars, and it's been around for over 20 years, so there's a steady feel and people know what to expect, with staff trained for dementia, mental health, diabetes, Parkinson's, brain injury, MS, stroke, and hospice, making sure everyone gets attention for exactly what they need, and folks say it feels like home-which matters a lot for comfort and peace of mind. It has private rooms, wheelchair ramps at some homes, pet-friendly rules for cats, and garden views, with a warm, safe indoor setting where people can visit, socialize, or join activities like arts and crafts, trivia, karaoke, Wii bowling, Tai Chi, yoga, and Qi Gong; if spiritual growth matters, devotional services get organized off-site too, letting folks form their own sense of belonging. The home runs with registered nurses and licensed practical nurses on staff, with a doctor on call, and care goes all day and night-offering help with medication, blood sugar and insulin, transfers for those who can't move on their own, bathing, grooming, and toileting, and there's hospice care for comfort as needs change, with meal options that take every diet into account-from gluten-free and low sodium to vegan and organic-and nutritious snacks are always close by; some places even let residents keep a cat for company. Families can get help from advisors for finding a spot and sorting out paperwork, making sure people who need behavioral health, TBI care, Parkinson's, ventilator or trach needs, or complex diabetic care are welcome and safe, and the doors are open from 9:00am to 8:00pm for visiting hours so friends and relatives can stay involved. The place has memory care-like the Meadowbrook program-for people in early or late stages of dementia or Alzheimer's, plus independent living, skilled nursing, and assisted living, with three levels of care to adjust as someone's needs change, and residents can stay as long as their situation allows, which makes moving less common and gives people a sense of stability. Specialized staff help with development disabilities, mental health, and seniors who need hands-on help or monitoring for safety, including people at risk of wandering or acting out. There's a big focus on meals, activities, and personal choice, so you see amenities like private or shared baths, wheelchair accessible showers, beautician services, common areas, and anytime dining, which folks with different tastes appreciate; plus, visiting healthcare pros like nurses, podiatrists, dentists, therapists, and others check in as needed. Payment can happen through Medicaid right away, Medicaid spend down, or a VA contract, and community fees or extra charges like respite fees or second resident buy-ins show up depending on care, but families get straightforward help understanding these. The management aims for clear safety, especially with on-site supervisors, and in homes like Belicina's AFH, Victoria 1 Adult Family Home, and Langland House, satisfaction reviews go as high as 5.0 stars, and every spot tries to match someone's personal needs. The goal is simple-make sure each person lives with dignity, comfort, and the support needed for daily life, within a home that respects everyone's path and changes.
