    Neglect, injury, COVID outbreak, death

I strongly warn others to avoid this facility. My mother was struck and injured there, staff made excuses and neglected her care and belongings, and they failed to protect residents during a March COVID outbreak - my mother died the next day with little treatment. Staff were rude, unprofessional and understaffed, visitation was blocked, food and activities were poor, and some rooms even lack TVs. I do not recommend.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment from these review summaries is heavily weighted toward serious concerns and negative experiences, though a small number of reviewers offered positive remarks. The most significant and repeated themes are reports of neglectful care, poor infection control around COVID-19, and problematic staff behavior. Several reviewers described very serious incidents — including a resident being injured after being hit, alleged inadequate response to that injury, and a subsequent death reported the next day — which contribute to an overall impression of unsafe care for some residents.

Care quality is a major area of complaint. Multiple reviews allege neglect of residents and their personal belongings, and at least one review directly accuses the facility of failing to provide needed medical treatment. Reviewers frequently connect these problems to understaffing and to staff making excuses rather than taking responsibility. The combination of alleged neglect, unattended injuries, and claims that treatment was not provided paints a picture of inconsistent or unreliable clinical oversight and daily care for some residents.

Staff behavior is described in conflicting terms but skews negative in these summaries. Several reviewers call staff unprofessional and rude to patients, and they explicitly advise others not to use the facility. Understaffing is cited as a contributing factor to poor treatment and lack of attention. At the same time, a few reviews specifically praise staff professionalism in relation to administering or handling the COVID-19 vaccine, and some reviewers simply described staff as "nice." These mixed comments suggest variable staff performance — some employees are perceived positively, but there are frequent reports of poor conduct and inadequate staffing levels.

Facility operations, amenities, dining, and activities also draw criticism. Food quality is described as "lousy," and reviewers note an absence of activities attributed to COVID-19 restrictions. Some rooms reportedly lack televisions, which affects quality of life for residents. Conversely, isolated comments calling the place "nice" or "cool" indicate that some aspects of the facility or some reviewers’ experiences were satisfactory, but such positive notes are relatively sparse compared to the weight of negative reports.

COVID-19 handling and communication are prominent concerns. Reviewers report a COVID-19 outbreak in March that they say resulted in resident deaths and created a "scary situation." During the outbreak, families were reportedly unable to visit or enter the facility, which intensified distress. Several reviews allege a failure to protect residents from COVID-19 and criticize staff or management explanations for what happened. While some staff are commended for vaccine-related professionalism, the broader pattern of reviewer complaints centers on insufficient infection control and poor communication during the outbreak.

In sum, these reviews present a pattern of serious, safety-related complaints alongside a smaller number of positive remarks. The dominant themes are allegations of neglect, understaffing, rude or unprofessional staff, poor infection control during a reported COVID-19 outbreak with resident deaths, and basic quality-of-life shortcomings (food, activities, in-room TVs). There are isolated positive notes about individual staff and the facility’s general appearance, but the recurring and severe nature of many negative reports leads to an overall cautious-to-strongly negative impression in these summaries.
