    Bright clean room, attentive staff

I live in a bright, very clean semi-private room and receive excellent, attentive care from helpful staff. They offer bingo three times a week and some other activities, and the meals look appealing. I'm very pleased overall and would recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a mixed portrait of care at this facility, with clear positive experiences alongside recurring operational concerns. Several comments describe attentive, high-quality individual care, helpful staff interactions, bright well-maintained resident rooms, and regular group programming such as bingo. At the same time, other accounts describe persistent issues that affect daily life and care continuity.

Care quality appears variable. Positive accounts highlight staff who are helpful and attentive and instances of good clinical care. Contrasting reports indicate delays in assistance, limited progress in rehabilitative therapy, and situations where residents waited for help. These patterns are consistent with broader concerns about staffing levels and turnover; staffing shortages and frequent personnel changes were noted and likely contribute to variability in responsiveness and therapy outcomes. There are also indications that transfer-assist equipment (for example, mechanical lifts) may be insufficiently available for some residents.

Staff behavior and communication were a frequent theme. While some families praised supportive and responsive team members, others described brusque or unhelpful interactions and what reviewers characterized as idle or inattentive nursing coverage. Taken together, these comments suggest inconsistencies in staff conduct and reliability that prospective families should evaluate when touring the facility and discussing staffing models and schedules with leadership.

Dining and activities show a similar pattern of strengths and inconsistencies. Activities programming includes recurring events such as bingo multiple times per week and other options, which supports resident engagement. Meal presentation was described positively in some notes, but several reviewers flagged inconsistent food quality and late meal delivery; in a few cases residents chose not to eat the meals provided. These comments point to unreliable meal-service timing and variable culinary quality rather than a uniformly poor or uniformly excellent dining program.

Facility condition and cleanliness comments are mixed. Many reviewers cited clean, bright resident rooms and acceptable accommodation types (including semi-private rooms). However, others reported sanitation and cleanliness concerns in some common areas and on floors. Prospective visitors should inspect both resident rooms and common spaces and ask about housekeeping protocols and frequency.

Management and oversight emerged as an important contextual factor. References to recent ownership change, weekly personnel shifts, and a perceived decline in operational consistency suggest management instability that may be affecting staffing, food service, and day-to-day operations. For families considering placement, it would be prudent to ask about current leadership, staff retention initiatives, observable staffing levels on different shifts, therapy goals and metrics, meal-service schedules, and the availability of assistive equipment. Observing a mealtime and touring multiple units can help validate the mixed accounts and clarify whether the facility's strengths align with a particular resident's needs.

About Eagleridge Health & Rehabilitation Center

Manorcare Health Services - Fort Myers sits in Fort Myers, FL, and works as a nursing home offering senior care, skilled nursing care, rehabilitation, and memory care for people with Alzheimer's and dementia-related conditions, and the place sees people with both short-term and long-term needs, so if you need help after the hospital or plan to stay longer, the staff adjusts care as needed, and the facility belongs to HCR ManorCare, with day-to-day operation handled by Manor Care Of Ft. Myers Fl, LLC, and it's got ties to Purple Door, LLC and a record of following strict standards, with accreditations from the Joint Commission and several awards along the way. The community runs a licensed health center with experienced clinical and therapy teams who focus on each resident's unique needs, offering physical, occupational, and speech therapy, plus wound care, post-surgical care, pain management, respite, palliative care, and social services, all backed by 24/7 nursing care along with help for activities of daily living, medication management, and close supervision for safety. Regular inspections aim to keep everything up to state standards, and the caregiver-to-senior ratio stays in check in line with licensing, so you know someone's watching out for everyone, and the license status is updated monthly by Care.com, though families should confirm current licensing themselves.

Residents can choose from furnished private or semi-private rooms with private bathrooms, cable TV, phone, a small kitchen area, and high-speed internet, and they enjoy daily housekeeping, laundry, and even move-in help, while meal services come from a chef who prepares food according to special diets like for allergies or diabetes, and there's fine dining as well as snacks, so all meals are handled. The building has wide spaces, activity and arts rooms, a game room, library, movie theater, fitness room, garden, spa and sauna, walking paths, and outdoor spots for sitting together or having a stroll, and they run wellness and fitness programs, outdoor and music activities, movie nights, and community-sponsored or resident-run events, so people always have something to do if they want. Transportation is available for errands or events, and the community room and common spaces help people get to know each other, while emergency alert systems in rooms and throughout the facility boost safety.

People with mobility issues get extra support, and there's memory care and dementia support with a focus on keeping residents comfortable and as independent as possible, since the staff aims to let each person do what they can, rather than taking over completely. Family members get resources and support to help them understand what to expect and stay informed, and counselors can even assist with finding additional senior living options if someone needs to look elsewhere. The management keeps a close eye on the running of the community, and the profile for the facility is managed by the staff to keep information up to date. The facility accepts payment through Medicaid and Medicare, so people who need that support aren't left out, and everything is built to foster a warm environment with attention to health, safety, and a sense of belonging rather than just healthcare. Manorcare Health Services - Fort Myers tries to fit care to the person, supporting both daily needs and long-term wellness in a straightforward, caring way.
